Just like it came out about when Riley was hired that the team felt like it had to choose sides.
Except I don't believe the players feel the need to choose sides. Mostly because Riley and Co aren't poisoning the well and egging them on to.

If players feel like they have to choose sides or Nebraska isn't the place anymore then that's on them.

I can't remember, is williams the one with the problem with driving while drunk? What was his position again? Did he work with impressionable young men or just with technical stuff? Not that the behavior of possible role models matters.
Careful what you say there, because some things about a new staff member may come to light in the future.

So true.

90% sure anyways.

I do get a slight feeling that maybe something negative could have happened with comments like J Peter calling out a coach and recruits decommitting at that position... might just be made up in my head though, but sounds plausible to me.

Possible, but I think we're seeing decommits not because DW is saying anything negative about Nebraska, but because he's not being retained at Nebraska (my guess, I dont actually know).

If something negative is being said at least it's not towards our current players on the roster.

Bookie and Chase are probably going to end up back in SoCal at UCLA and USC respetcively, so I get that...I think there is/has been other factors at play with Goodrich (not DW related). Don't think there is anything here as far as DW not being retained IMO

Interesting to hear the implicit criticisms of the prior staff in these comments

I have been a recruiting homer, thus when DW was hired, I was loving it.

The CBs didn't play great, but that is not necessarily all on DW.

Because of the short time for a sample size of his coaching abilities, I'm completely fine with DW coming back! We can kick butt with Nebraska kids, but still need to find great athletes across the US. He can bring them in.
