I actually feel a little sorry for them. They legitimately fired a really awful coach. And the fans, like ours, have been treated to one lousy hire after another. And then the Schiano fiasco.

Other than Lane Kiffin, have there been many other coaches that have jump ship after 1 season at a Power 5 conference coaching gig to go to another? Doubt it happens, but you could see Brohm and Taggart jump ship after 1 season at their schools.

Brohm is a pretty good coach. If we switched coaches he probably wins by 30 with our players. Also won @ Iowa and got Perdue bowl eligible for the first time in forever.

This is a fanbase that didn’t like the hire, so they used 4th person heard it through the grapevine info in order to trash someone about as bad as you can in order to ensure he didn’t come on board.

I have a ton of sympathy for them. Seems like NU has played that game in 2004 & 2015. Kind of wish they'd learn from us and hire Tee Martin, like we should have hired Frost in 2015. I get the thought process that guys should not be cutting their teeth as head coaches at big time schools. But dam, if the stars align and its the right opportunity, then why not? OU would have never hired Lincoln Riley but Stoops out foxed them and gave them the right man for the job.

IMO, the time is now to go young in college football coaching. It's like the scene in Godfather where they are killing off old the Mafia Bosses and allowing the new guys to come in. Call me crazy but a team like Bama is probably on the down slide because of this. Many of their coaches are getting old and the turnover of assistants will start adding up. Saban's days are numbered. This was the most boring Bama team I have ever seen under him. They lacked fire most of the year and IMO that shows Saban's fire is going out. IMO he's the last of the "old ball coaches". Time for new blood and College football needs it. NFL is down, time for College Football to make a come back as the #1 football source.
