So Chris Fowler has climbed up my list about 1000%
He's one guy at ESPN that I've always liked and thought was competent.

I do think Frost is coming home as per Lars Anderson. They are just giving him a chance to finish his season. Excited! :Cool:

If so, I can’t wait for the 2018 season.
Frost will need time and patience, but I think he’s our next great coach.
ESPN is a lot smarter when they say things I like.
ESPN back in the day long before “Gameday” was huge, Fowler did a show, I think it was called “Scholastic Sports America” or something like that. He traveled to Wood River and did a piece in Frost when he was a senior. It touched on his recruitment but didn’t focus on it. It was more an overall story about this kid in small town middle America being a highly sough recruit and record breaker, etc.
So of the major sports media guys, Fowler likely has known Frost longer than anyone, and obviously appears interested in the story.

It’s interesting that he is echoing what Lars Anderson said. I think this has been done for awhile too. Kudos to Moos on how he handled this.
Eh. I remember three years ago when Sweater Vest was a done deal and Frost was his OC. Until I see Moos and Frost at the podium in Lincoln, nobody knows squat
I am sure Fowler is pretty well connected in the college football circle. Hoping his sources and Lars Anderson's sources are accurate. Nick Bahe mentioned on his show last week, that if it is really quiet this week, it is a good sign of Frost to Nebraska.
And so, since Fowler has known Frost since High School, that gives him the right to blow the top off of this deal that all parties are desperately trying to keep secret?

This. Why can't people just sit back and find out when we find out? Respect the wishes of the parties involved. Impatience and disrespect, the hallmarks of our current society.
Everyone is free to believe whatever they want, but a couple of credible journalists have both heard Frost to Nebraska is done.
Not really, Florida has proven in the past month or so to have incredible difficulty keeping tight lipped about anything. Additionally, there has been a lot more "Florida talk," as opposed to Nebraska despite the fact that Frost has a long and storied history with Nebraska, growing up here and playing here... and basically no relationship with Florida. The silence is deafening part has to do with there is little to no talk about Frost to Nebraska Nationally... but a bunch of supposed leaks and talk in regard to Florida... Florida has been anything but silent.
However, looking at it objectively as possible, Nebraska has been without a head coach for 1 day and therefore couldn't be actively looking (at least publicly) until yesterday. So that may play a big part in it (perceived silence). Although we all know, as a part of his general strategy, Moos has been looking for replacement coaches (for every sport, but mostly football at this time) ever since he arrived.
Since he said this, and everyone knows it, he can actively look for potential candidates without the assumption that someone will be fired or disrupting another coaches season... he gets to work under the radar.

You are wrong on this... Herbie loves NU and what it stands for. I listened to him when he was in Cols Ohio on 1460. You would be amazed how much he respects this program and how he wants it back. What you take for hatred is his frustration in the program and the delusional fan base at times. Him and Uncle Speilman both respect this program.
You’re forgetting that Muschamp was going to be the DC.
I was literally getting phone calls telling me it was Tressel as HC, Frost as OC and Muschamp as DC.
I can still feel that crushing blow to my nuts when they announced Riley.
I don’t read anything in his tweets that is anything other than his speculation. If Fowler knows Frost is coming here then he’d probably be on TV reporting it as fact.
I don’t buy the Herbstriet hates Nebraska stuff. He’s an analyst. He’s paid to give an objective opinion.

I think Moos’s search for a coach this week will take him to Hyvee, his office, and holiday shopping.
That... or he will contact several agents for coaches this week to make it appear that he is still searching for the right coach.
Didn't he say something in his press conference yesterday about the search possibly lasting until after the Dec. 20 signing day? So if Frost makes a huge bowl game, would he coach in it before coming, making us wait until January?
