Hopefully Devaney won't be involved in picking the next head coach. So have all the other assistant coaches been fired? And why the heck is Devaney still around?
Looks that way.. The guys left other than Bray are support staff and there's a chance some of them will be retained. No rush to give them pink slips. I can't imagine Devaney will have his contract renewed. That would be ridiculous but there's no rush on him either. The other guys need to start looking for jobs ASAP. I could see Bray sticking around. Good to see Wilhite's name still on Huskers.com but it may just be that they haven't got it all updated yet.So have all the other assistant coaches been fired? And why the heck is Devaney still around?
Frost may know him from their time in Oregon. Remember Diaco took on the linebackers and Bray was just working with the inside guys. So, why does Bray get the honor of interim? His LBs outside of C Weber were garbage. Gifford when healthy maybe.
I had the same thought as well.Does this mean Moos next coach is in place and he already knows who the assistants are?
Moos said he was very impressed by a few assistants. He must like Bray a lot to have named him interim when we dont need one right now.So, why does Bray get the honor of interim? His LBs outside of C Weber were garbage. Gifford when healthy maybe.
I would guess the next coach at least knows who he doesn't want.I had the same thought as well.
People wanting to keep KW forget the stress he caused the administration and we couldn't very logically can him at that time. This is a convenient time to start fresh with a guy without the baggage and with a guy who knows Frost's offense. Hopefully it's his current WR/OC coach. I'm not qualified to judge DW or some of the other guys and it still could be that Frost could retain a guy or two but that's his call. Again, Frost I think knows Bray.I would guess the next coach at least knows who he doesn't want.
Is this common? Aren't all assistant coaches usually kept until the new coach comes in. Then he decides who he wants to keep or not
Seems Moos already knows which direction he is going....

i honestly like him, I just don't know if his past makes him overly acceptable in this case.People wanting to keep KW forget the stress he caused the administration and we couldn't very logically can him at that time. Meh. The AD knows who he doesn't want. Moos is a football guy. He's been watching practice. New coach will have the final say.Is this common? Aren't all assistant coaches usually kept until the new coach comes in. Then he decides who he wants to keep or not
Usually they stay until told they are no longer needed by the next coach, imo.Is this common? Aren't all assistant coaches usually kept until the new coach comes in. Then he decides who he wants to keep or not

Tries to hold some recruiting functions in place. He has a shot at being retained but in any case it's a blip on his resume for the next job app. What does an interim HC do when there’s no practice or games?
Make sure kids go to classWhat does an interim HC do when there’s no practice or games?
Followed by atelephone calls to commitments and other recruits today...
IHC Bray: "Hello (insert recruit's name), this is Trent Bray calling from the University of Nebraska...
Recruit: Trent who??
Cry me a river it was one mistake Bo Sanders Carl Solich had a lifetime of stressful times.yet every ones ok with that. By cutting loose the Williams's you just cut the bottom out of this class. Moos explained why it is Bray. It's simply because Bray was the only assistant he knew from previous relationships and therefore felt like he could trust him to handle the interim role. And he knew Bray's father well. So, why does Bray get the honor of interim? His LBs outside of C Weber were garbage. Gifford when healthy maybe.
he has had multiple "mistakes" and IF we keep him I'm fine with that but the new head coach has to have the say. IF we don't hire a pro-style guy it's probably silly to keep the WR coach who has never coached your offense JMHO.Followed by a

I suspect Bray and Frost have crossed paths as well..WinkingMoos explained why it is Bray. It's simply because Bray was the only assistant he knew from previous relationships and therefore felt like he could trust him to handle the interim role. And he knew Bray's father well.
I tend to agree with you. Moos isn't pressing because he has Frost locked up and doesn't want to interfere until his regular season or CCG is over. Other schools involved don't have that luxury of waiting. Moos didn't really answer the Philadelphia question after saying he's heard that they have good sandwichesMinnesota had Fleck locked up weeks before they fired Claeys. My guess is Frost agreed in principle a week or so ago. The BIG west will have a good crop of coaches.
he said something about recruiting too, I wonder if they will keep the guy from nevada who was recruitingThe Zone is saying Moos cleaned house except for Trent Bray and the page reflects that.
IF you hire Frost and bring along Troy Walters WR recruiting won't be an issue.I fully agree here. It would be STUPID to let KW go. He had a mistake, but since has moved past it. He’s an elite WR coach, still has Josh Moore and Cam Brown holding on as recruits and there’s still that 5 star WR and Crocker that still favored the Huskers. like dude said, his WRs was the one good thing we had. Donte Williams, he’s young and this was his first dam year here. He came into a mess that wasn’t his fault and look at mess he had to work with. Very very worst case, DW can be a lead recruiter for us. Ever top recruit we are in on, have or what ever...always mention DW and KW every time. These two, in my opinion, you keep. If not....you at least keep K Williams.
Really? I thought this was one of the most disappointing position groups. Too many dropped passes, 4 yard routes when they needed 5 yards, failure to gain separation and poor routes.Followed by a
