Of course all of the Asst. Coaches need to be looking for other opportunities. Very few ever get retained and they don't even know who could be the next guy. Gotta assume you are gone and cover your bases. For him to hire some representation is a smart move regardless.

He brought in some nice DTs last year. I would think he has as good a shot as anyone to be retained.

I probably have the fewest gripes with him and KW.
The initial Reaction on this is always every coach is bad. The reality is that the head coach was bad, given a different head guy some of these guys may be looked at differently. I think we have no idea outside of the coordinators, Riley and most likely Cavanaugh who is a good coach and who is not. Works, the same way when teams are doing well, doesn't mean every coach is good either

I personally don't believe there is enough evidence either good or bad to accurately judge his performance.
Our new head coach will make that judgement. I will be somewhat surprised if Frost doesn't keep him but we'll see. I'll also be kind of surprised if it's Frost if he brings his current DC with him. The optics of that aren't very good given some of their defensive performances this year but we'll see.

There wasn’t enough evidence good or bad for the job to be offered to Parrella in the first place. His resume consisted of being a high school coach, a year or two as an assistant at a JUCO and a couple of years at a middling division 2 school (Northern Michigan)

Then Parella will probably choose not to pursue a position if Frost is hired...he runs a 3-4.
His DC runs a 3-4. I'm not sure Frost is all that set on a 3-4 and we don't know if his DC is coming or not. The DC is rumored to be the interim head coach.

So Frost as HC doesn't decide what defense will be run?

Hhhmmm...thought that only happened here

Given some of their defensive struggles in a couple of games this year he might decide that he doesn't want to run the 3-4 anymore. We don't know. He certainly has connections to other defensive coaches and assuming he takes the job we'll know when he names his staff. Supposedly he and his DC are tight, but having the NU job opens some doors to DCs that he maybe couldn't have gotten at UCF.

Yesterday I saw a well coached team until the roughing the punter. Then I saw a defense that quit in the second half and that included the defensive line. Blame Diaco, but Parella hardly deserves a pass.

He probably gone.... but like I posted before, you also have to remember he was a 12 year nfl veteran while other coaches were cutting their teeth. Oh, and Mike Vrabel says hi, you might want to check him out....
