wife is looking to get one. Anyone use one of these? Pros/cons? Are they loud and do they stink up the house?

I just bought the Mrs one - got her a 2.4 quart and apparently everyone on the msg boards say they wish they had the bigger ones - i think 5 quarts is the biggest so we're going to trade up I guess. I'll report back once we (she) start using it.
We got one about a year ago. We used it alot the first month or so, but I don't think we've used it in over 6 months now. Most of the stuff we made with it is just easier/quicker for us to bake or pan fry depending on what it is. At least with ours, cleaning it is kind of annoying too.
