Best of luck to him but truthfully I never expected him to return once he left the first time. Rather have a good, competent coach long-term and miss out on a few players in the short term.

Uh oh, stop having the staff pack boxes. Jr. isn't coming back if Riley is fired per dad.

Honestly nobody asked or frankly cares. Go chase Bieber in the Prius some more.

So in other words he’s going to go not play for another program.

I think everybody assumed that was the case. At this point who cares. We want guys here who want to be here. Those who don't let them go. He will probably go on to do nothing with is football career. Frees up a roster spot. I am sure we will lose a few more too.

If Frost implements his offense to the existing receivers already here, Jr. will get a lot of receptions. I see breakout years for Speilman and Linsey next year, and some holes for the RB's to run through. The cupboard is not empty. His loss.

So he is basically going to get to go to another school for a month or two before getting yanked back home? Got it.

Keep us updated, pops. We like watching train wrecks.

KJ Jr. might have become a solid possession receiver, but he hadn't really shown anything to suggest that he was a program changing talent. But at the end of the day, if we just have a bunch of dudes that came here for X coach that have difficulty playing for something bigger than themselves or said coach than that program is extraordinarily fragile at best and isn't likely to be successful on a consistent basis. We need guys that will do anything in their power for the guys he lines up with. I'm not sure KJ Sr. was ever that type of guy and I'm not sure KJ Jr. is either.

Win some, you lose some. If he was as good as his old man was, I'd be bummed out about it. Time will tell what kind of player he turns out to be, but the best of luck to him in his endeavors.

KJJ is not even with us with Riley as our head coach so nothing is lost. Wish the kid the best but there are better receivers out there who are under the radar that I'd like to have join our team.

Yup. Plenty of talent to work with. No reason for excuses.

Does it make some of our fan base feel better about themselves to tear some of these players and coaches down? I've heard KJJ called fat, slow, lazy, etc. Drives me nuts. Let's just wish them luck and move on.
It' the "Nebraska Way", being best fans and all. Lead by their God Jason Peter who finds it ok to run down coaches and players.

I said 3 years ago if this kid was named Kevin Johnson and was playing for Casper Wyo he would be a 2* max. He was definitely used as a peer recruiter for his name and his father's connections. Best of luck if he ends up playing anywhere, but I dont see it being at a P5 school.

What has he done wrong? I’m sorry but Armstrong was a benefit to Riley, without him Riley would probably ave three losing seasons at Nebraska..
I know you're not saying this, but to be fair Riley never dogged on TA or ever once stated, "We finally have a QB that fits our system."

That's all on the fans and media.

Why don't people leave the kid alone alone and let him do his thing. Nebraska fans are really turning everything into a freaking ***** fest these days.

Like that was going to happen. Ok I will give you that.
You knew before the season started we were going to have a bad season and Riley would be fired?

Wish you would have told me before I put in my season win total wager.
