At CB this week against us.. can we please just air raid these guys and come out with a win. I think it gives us our best chance to win. Not sure they can run on them but pretty sure the secondary is the weak link. And our wr 's are our strength right now...

I don't like the move starting him if we had something to play for this week. Nebraska should attack him often, but I would stay away from Josh Jackson because he will make you pay.
They have Josh Jackson so you'd better plan on picking on the frosh. There could easily be another pick-6 in this game.
I think there’s a great chance Josh gets an INT on Friday. Dude has been a magnet for the ball as of late. Very impressive.
FWIW there will be several freshman starting against you guys. As crazy as it sounds I'm more confident in Matt H covering your guys than Manny R.
Unless they let Lee be in a 15 yd shotgun formation our line won't give him enough time. Iowa could start 5 freshmen defensive backs it just won't matter.
I just don’t understand this... I get that our line is porous. But he passed for 400 yards and a TD or 2 against Penn State. He passed for a lot of yards on Ohio State. He can get it done through the air. In fact, thats really our only chance.

Misleading. In Ped State game it was 70 in first half against first string and 300+ against the scrubs. Will Iowa bench their first stringers?
I agree, but he needs to be "on" for a full four quarters. We had some momentum last week after going ahead 10-7 and the offense layed a turd in the second quarter. And a lot of that was due to Lee being off on his passes. I get that our defense is horrible. All the more reason why he must be good for four quarters. The only way we can win these days is in a shoot out

I am not denying that. In fact I agree with you. The problem is in order for him to be "on" he has to get some protection and I dont see that happening when the game is on the line. This coach cant even teach em how to handle a stunt.
Iowa can't run the ball this year. Period. This will be the worst offense you guys have faced all season- by light years.

Iowa is BAD at those safety spots. Iowa got beat single handedly by a WR from Purdue that wouldn't even sniff the field at Neb. If you guys have the pass game rolling- it could be an easy win. Iowa back 4 (other than Jackson) are NOT good. On top of that- you will get match ups from slot WR's from our LB's.
I know you guys don't have a lot of confidence in the Huskers right now, but I'm telling you-- don't be shocked if Riley pulls one out- and it won't be a fluke.
I agree it's our only chance, but let's not forget the 5 straight 3 and outs by the offense in 2nd quarter. Majority of the yards came in the 2nd half after Penn St let up on the gas, and substituted freely, and the game was out of reach.
I sure hope you're right but it will probably take the game being out of hand before our offense decides to show up. We'll work on establishing the run game so we can play action pass on 3rd and long..

Definitely incentive for the coaches... but what about the players? I know Iowa players will be motivated, not saying they won’t be... but will it be the same incentive Nebraska players have?

You are correct in that a lot of emotions are going into this game, from the coaching staffs on both sides, Iowa is clearly disappointed I believe the last second circus catch by Penn State to win the game took a mental effect on the Iowa players. The season has been a roller coaster with some huge wins to some crappy losses. Iowa wants to win every trophy game, wants to look good on Black Friday for the Bowl Scouts.
Nebraska has a lot invested in this game, the seniors want to go out on a winning note at home on Senior Day. The coaching staff knows a win despite all the distractions is huge. Nebraska is associated with Black Friday and for all practical purposes this is their Bowl Game, a win in this game much like a win in a Bowl Game sets the tone for next year.
Despite both fan bases being disappointed neither wants to lose this game and thus be the source of jokes for the next 12 months. I believe both teams will bring their A game.
