SF turned down NU once as a player before coming back from Stanford, so anything is possible.
If he turns NU down this time, that bridge might be forever burned, especially with the fan base.

people are trying to sell papers and what not, believe what you want, the only people that really know are SF and Moos. and probably the agent and his wife, other than that this is pure speculation and trying to sell your local paper or tv station like you know more then the next guy.
If you had inside information, would you give it to a grown man named Booger? Neither would most REAL insiders. For real though, McFarland doesn't know his head from his ***. Not sure who Ross is, but everybody in the rest of the world is saying Chip Kelly to Florida is all but official. So if Frost doesn't come. it's more than likely because he stays at UCF I guess, which I'm not sure is going to happen. If Frost doesn't come, than we move on to the next guy. That's all we can do.
Ross said Frost has emerged as a top candidate. He quotes Forde saying Kelly and Frost are the two top candidates.

As long as Moos goes after him and puts the ball in Scott’s court then I think we all have to be ok with whatever happens. And I think he has said and done everything an AD can do publicly to let everyone know of his intentions of courting coach’s Frost.
If we say we only want players who want to be here when Someone de commits then I surley hope we have the same mindset about coaches too!

Then McFarland is a moron. It's why I don't watch ESPN or most shows for their analysis or their picks. They are talking heads with no more information than you and are always hobbled by a recency and regional bias. I say Frost is N.

Pretty sure Scott Frost has a good idea how he would be treated if he becomes a turncoat for the 2nd time. Pretty sure Scott Frost knows this is likely his last and only chance to coach here. Pretty sure the ball is in Scott Frosts court. Pretty sure if he turns us down we will get someone we dont have to google who hasnt been a complete failure at their last stop.

I hope we have some pretty solid plan B options. Very few outlets have Frost to Nebraska other than Husker message boards.

furthermore all this Frost hype is creating a very toxic situation for Moos to convince a coach with any last name other than Frost to take the job
I hope we can get Frost, but I also think Moos knows whether or not that is possible and already has his top 3 guys in mind. If Frost is atop his list than I hope that's who he gets. If not I think we have to trust him and go from there. His track record proves that he's capable of making a good hire for the situation at the school. I hope he gets it right and I hope the fan base gives whomever he hires time to get things right here. If we don't this will be a wash/rinse/repeat two years from now with fans going crazy if we aren't in the Conference Title game.

This times 1000. The fan base looks like full blown idiots foaming at the mouth over a coach with less than 25 wins. What coach in their right minds would want this job knowing nobody in the fan base will be happy you're there? It's pathetic.

I have a GIANT PROBLEM WITH MOOS, if SF stays at UCF and we didn't get Chip Kelly or the opportunity to go after him. We need either SF or CK, if they both go elsewhere Moos has big problems, NU fans will have even bigger problems.
All those schools got their guy .. they didn’t really need to move on to plan B. Can you imagine the reaction if harbaugh decided to take a job at a school other than Michigan.
If I am a coach weighing potential jobs at a number of power 5 schools the fact that I am going to be a massive disappointment to a large portion of the Nebraska fan base is going to factor in my decision.
I agree there would be a meltdown but as i said when it fits it fits - I am very confident Frost will be our next coach

I am pretty confident that Frost is coming here. I think everything we are hearing about FL is just hype and trying to sell papers and reports trying to get their name out there. Yes I also remember the "100% Tressel is the next coach" So anything is possible, and he may really go to FL. Taking all the info that has been out there so far it more points to Frost coming here.
None of us really know anything at this point. I think people are hopeful SF would come here if offered because it's his Alma Mater. I do think until UF announces a coach, they are still a threat.
Ross and me are tight.. He interviewed me at the Boystown T&F Invitational in '81. My 15 minutes.. We also both wear cotten Dockers, because...well...they are such swell slacks..
I’m hearing bad news on Frost to NU as well. 50/50 chance or less at this point. And that’s from a pretty good source here in Lincoln. So who is our plan B?

Wow, this is getting stupid. So what...if he goes Gators, then that’s his choice. We can only focus on ourselfs. If we don’t get Frost, we will be just fine. No big deal, hundreds of coaches out there, my God. We don’t need or want another “roll of the dice” type coaches anyways. We have to get the for sure deal this time, no matter How much it coasts us.
