Great he signed and hope he has a great career, but before you gloat too much about beating out CU, he committed to UNL two weeks after CU's top PG target and ESPN top 100 Zagerski or something like that committed to CU.

First off, Tai Webster took a long time to live up to his hype, but he was a damn good player in his senior season and had improved steadily each year here.

That said, no one is claiming that Xavier is a savior. He’s a nice recruit who was offered by several other successful programs. Let’s be happy.

I think this will be Miles final season.

Every year it is one of two excuses: "We are young" or "We are injured"

The last 3 seasons this program has been stuck in neutral.

Everybody could be right, but I don't want to hear it all the damn time. It's bad enough that we can't even let the football season play out before calling it done. Husker fans are the world's greatest fans... as long as we're winning.
Says the guy who posted the football staff should be fired after the Purdue had we lost.

First loss, it will be “here we go again.”

You’d think fans here were spoiled by basketball success, but alas they are just demanding.

This team is selected to finish 13th in conference. Let’s see how they finish.
Nebraska fans stopped salivating over 18 years old prospects and now obsess over who they want to coach every men's sport in Lincoln.

If SE was still here and football was having just a decent season, I'd say this season could be his last. But if Riley is let go, and Miles at least gets to the NIT, I could see Moos giving him more time. I'm not saying he should be back, I just wonder if an Athletic Director in his first 6-7 months is going to fire both the football and men's basketball coaches.

I thought you were talking about Brady Heiman. Laughing

In all seriousness I saw Heiman every once in awhile over the years at tournaments as I have a son in his grade. I hope he develops and becomes a solid contributor. I haven't seen him play in high school but it sounds like he does have an outside game, which is always good for a 6' 10" guy.

This is how I see it as well. Miles needs to accomplish something this year other than some recruiting buzz and the same old Small Town Timmy Sure is Funny on Twitter schtick. But if he can finish middle-of-the-pack in the Big Ten and do something in the postseason, Moos might keep him around.

On the other hand, he should get no quarter for “exceeding expectations” if the team simply finishes 11th or 12th after being picked 13th. It’s his team and his roster that’s projected to be the second-worst team in the Big Ten. Being third or fourth worst is hardly worthy of an extension.

If being a fan means you are depressed most of the time, find a new interest. If being a fan fills you with hope and excitement, you have found something that is good for you.

Many fans on here seem like they need to move on to other interests so they can stop stewing and grumbling and wallowing and welling up with anger over things like the signing of a new recruit.

Why not? There's a reason the last AD was fired.
