I don't think the majority of people are all that worried about recruiting at this point. It's not liike this staff has done anything with what we have anyways. We are a team in disarray with a coach that's about to be fired. We may keep a few but for the most part this years recruiting class is toast. I can't blame recruits at this point for committing elsewhere or flipping at this point. Too much uncertainty going on.
Pretty much sums it up. WE can start worrying about recruiting around December 1

Exactly. Yet we still see the argument that MR should be retained because of recruiting. This class is going to be a mess regardless.
Sadly, it’s nearly impossible to find a World Herald, Land of 10, Cornnation, or news station facebook/twitter post where there aren’t 1-2 people putting his “ability” to recruit on a pedestal.

No. Not exactly. This all originated before SE was fired. The argument at that time was to not put anyone on the hot seat because recruiting would suffer with a coaching change. When SE was fired, the ball was already set in motion and recruiting was lost
Here is the deal. A lot of things are leading to this ranking and too many people pointing at one thing. I think in the beginning a couple of the commits were questionable. I believe a lot of people called the Bookie commitment questionable when he made it. Secondly many of these commits could be second guessing their decision based the play on the field, our win/Loss record, the firing of SE and/or the rumors of Mike Riley not being here. I personally think that many were going to de-commit based on the performance and that the firing of SE and the rumors of MR being fired are simply speeding up the process.
I think you reading this wrong according to your post the issue is he is on the hot seat. I believe the issue is his team' are poorly coached

Don't make it seem like a collective thought so you can continue to spout your thoughts and how right you are and most others are wrong.
You are working way to hard to prove a point over a handful of people.
What concern are you perceiving these days? If you asked me right after the NIU loss, sure, many of us were concerned. But as of the past couple weeks, I doubt there are many people who care that much anymore about anything related to the current program. (Personally I wouldn’t care if the entire offensive line transferred right after the coaches pack up and don’t bother telling me how talented they are.)
As you know, there's lots of folks here that don't care about losing. To them, recruiting rankings are "the" #1 priority. Just like the Clownahan days.....

Most have changed their tune, but the fact that some fans still hold onto a MR recruiting class is beyond me.
My god with the recruiting. We are sinking on the titanic and we are worried about the quality of the deck chairs? First things first: a coach that understands leadership including picking good assisstants. Second, a coach that understands that we play like we practice and commits to a disciplined system that stresses fundamentals. Third, a coach that can prepare a team for each game and make intelligent game day decisions.
Without those features, losing sleep and wringing your hands over what, 7 recruits is serving what purpose?
