I obviously don't have a clue about how this stuff works. But my guess would be that there are all kinds of back channel stuff going on. So yeah... I would wager Frost has a very good idea already where he is going.
From some stuff I heard today it will indeed be interesting. Our color radio guy and Frosts former center seem to be contradicting a lot of things said in the past from people very close to Scotty Pooh. We shall see

Moos also gave an interview that he was surprised Omaha was only 45 minutes from Lincoln on local radio this week..... so his Frost knowledge is pretty in depth since he knows next to nothing about the state and program.
45 minutes psh edge to edge is only 30 (if you count gretna to waverly exit)

Yes. Moos made it sound like he expected Omaha to be an all day trip. But that may be because he is old enough that horse and buggy travel time could be confusing him.

We are actually in a pretty good position, Riley isn't bad enough that he HAS to be fired this year...that will come next year...and with all the openings at other schools it may be that we don't have a better option than Riley for 2018. Every new hire is at least a 3 year commitment, and 10-20 million dollars. So if Frost says no, or not yet, he may keep Riley and begin looking for the perfect fit next year. I love what the cubs did...they kept a stable coach at the helm, and the moment they secured a superstar, the stable was fired, and superstar instated. If we get a commitment from a top target I could see Riley get fired mid season, next season, just to keep our record from being too good.

LoL horse and buggy. There was once a "plan" where lincoln/omaha were going to try and grow toward eachother, that got scrapped when housing developers didnt wana do it. eventually between ashland greenwood waverly it will be suburbs from lincoln to omaha (doubt ill be alive to see it though)

I think he not only knows what he is doing but also what he is going to do. This sounds like he is setting the stage. Frost did not kill coaching rumors when he had a chance on his radio show today either per Florida 247. Just said there will be time for those discussions but right now he is focused on his team. I want to think he knows what he is going to do also.

If he actually said that then he is gone, period. That's way more than what coaches would normally say in his situation. I'm not saying he's ours, but he's gone from UCF.

I have. He wants Frost here. But I thought you were implying that he contradicted Taylor and that Frost does not think of this as his dream job
No, those 2 are running their mouths contrary to what Scotty Poohs Daddy has been telling people. If they bring him in, it had better work, and immediately.

His dad was my coach in high school at Lincoln high. I only lasted one year. Too small and stupid. Apparently you have to have talent and speed to play cornerback. Who knew? Lol
But what has his dad said? Pardon my ignorance but this is why I come on here. You have knowledge of things I don't.

Larry has told a lot of people there are a multitude of reason that Scott will never take this job. Taylor and Davidson saying he will do it for peanuts is very stupid of them.

I don't know why Lincoln is growing to the south so much. I think it would make more sense to develop north where the interstate is and an easy drive to Omaha.

Haven't you heard? The weather is warmer in the south. Actually noise from the interstate and airport would be a good reason to go south instead of north.

yes I do. I-80 curves along the west side of Lincoln from the SW side to the NE side. I didn't say the airport was on the NE side. The airport is on the NW side of Lincoln and a lot of the jet noise I hear is to the north side of the interstate. I have family that lives on the SE and S side of LIncoln and it seems much quieter to me than the north side (and NE). The trains on the north side of down town which run to the northeast are a draw back as well.

I was once told by someone who was on the Lincoln planning commission that the city encouraged growth to the south because there was more capacity in the high schools down there. Lincoln High, at the time, was the only high school servicing central Lincoln and the northwest. And northeast was, once again at the time, at over capacity. The city did not want to build a new high school in the northwest or add on to northeast when southeast and east were below capacity.

I would add that it probably was also a factor that at that time East and Southeast had good reputations as excellent and "safe" schools which housing developers liked as a selling point. When I was at Lincoln High in the 70's there were all kinds of racial tensions between the black and white students. And after 1975 there was a big influx of Vietnamese kids. Some of the Vietnamese guys formed gangs and it was dicey for a while.

Finally, developers liked the south because property values were higher and it was considered the "nicer" part of Lincoln. I grew up in Belmont (northwest Lincoln) which was a pretty low rent kind of neighborhood. The Highlands development was the first step in rectifying that, but that did not happen until the late 70's.

I think one thing to keep in mind again, is its not just the Husker fan base running with Moos' words. I read an article just the other day from a Florida writer (as in "State of"....I don't know if he's affiliated with any particular Uni beat) where he basically said "slow your roll Gators, Frost is most likely going home" and citing Moos' interview with Bahe.

People hear what they want to hear until the cold hard facts slap them in the face and then some still can't give up the denial. (Pelini farewell speech).

I'm right by all three of them lol. The trains are probably the worst. I don't even notice the imterstate.
