Scott is 0-1 in bowl games and doesn't have two complete seasons under his belt.

There is literally zero on paper that separates him from Campbell. Its all intangibles and preference at that point.

You could argue Campbell has separated himself from Frost, he is 2-1 in Bowl Games, has coached a P5 program into the Top15 and has beat two Top 5 teams. Frost has not done anything close to that (And I do like Frost). It just seems like some posters are so crazy over the hometown hero they are going to great lengths to discredit other terrific coaches, with better resumes.

Yah that's all I mean. Don't get me wrong I'd be extremely excited to have Frost come home...but I'm not going to go around acting like his W-L resume is Lombardi's. That's not where the bulk of the argument is for Frost.

Most of the "for" Frost argument is "cool by association". He's worked with a who's who of coaching minds, and in the small sample we have, he's won at a pretty good clip.

That bodes well for the future, but the stock market does crater sometimes.

Campbell has a superior resume. It's not even close and no one on this board would even consider Frost over him without his ties to Nebraska

I would still take Bielema right now if he wanted to come here. And he would win the West with regularity as our head coach. Yeah, he's surly at times, but the guy can coach.

I think it's becoming clear that Bielema's success at Wisconsin was largely due to Alvarez, Chryst, and Doeren. He has not been good at Arkansas. Though in fairness, he has to play a brutal schedule every year compared to our schedule.

Mike Gundy. Taking little brother (OSU) toe to toe with big brother (OU) is something Mike couldn't do at the other OSU.

As you alluded to, he is no longer playing the B1G West schedule. Urban Meyer would probably struggle a bit in the SEC West also.

I honestly thought the percentage in favor of Frost would higher, something closer to 70%. (I voted Frost.)

Only if he cuts his ridiculous hair
Many of us love the hair cut on Mike. It takes a real man to wear it well.

He's a man...and he's 50!

I dont know how anyone could pick frost over a proven head coach that took over a dumpster fire in oklahoma and his recruiting ties to texas... he would turn it around fast.. but to each his own.. i would pick Scott 2nd
Because Stoops is very likely done coaching for good. Everyone in Oklahoma has said he retired for health reasons.

will admit the 13% vote for Riley is a bit surprising. Did realize we had so many masochists in huskerland. lol
I just laughed when I saw it. Don't even know what else to say. If they haven't seen enough yet they never will. Give me Kelly or Frost.

Frost has it,,,, really believe he's magic. Succeeds at everything he does. Can you imagine the big screen showing National title highlights of our coach? Good grief what could be more awesome?

he did okay at toledo a 9 win coach with a 7 win season at toledo, how is ISU turned around? They beat a couple overrated team and played the spoiler so far but how are they turned around? 3-9 last year, yea they are 6-2 right now but as he sits currently what on his resume is better looking than SF? or any other possible coach out there. He has made a couple splashes beating OU and TCU aside from that what has he done?

How has he turned ISU around? He inherited a team that had won 3,2,3 games the last three years and had averaged 4 wins a year for the past decade, a team that has recruited in the 60's the past decade.. And has them ranked #14 in the nation in his second year, with wins over two Top 5 teams. The guy can flat out coach.

Yah, but other than that what has he done? ;)

He is a worse poster than I am. Laughing

If I were the AD at a power 5 school and was looking to replace my football coach I'd ask the alumni for as much money it would take to hire the person that did the impossible at Iowa State.

Ive lived in ok for 33 years. I don't know any insiders but ive heard a ton of ppl talk about health reasons. Not that he has them but he doesn't want them. Im sure his family is playing a big part. I think I heard he wants to be able to see his sons games. His new role is way less pressure and I dont see him wanting back into coaching. But you never know.
