Can’t see Chucky leaving his cush NFL commentary gig and commercial endorsement cash cow to coach college football.
He makes 6.5 million a year putting in around 30 hours. 10 million for 90 hour weeks? Pass.
I wouldn’t hold my breath if I was Tennessee. Just found it intriguing since he started there at UT as an assistant there in the 1986. $10 million would be the most in CFB.
Have never understood the Gruden love fest...an above average NFL head coach whom I think would probably do decent in the college ranks, but $10M a year? Cmon man!

Gruden at that salary would be a huge risk. Much less of a guarantee than a known entity on the college level like Petrino, Gundy, etc
Why does this happen every year? Gruden hasn't coached **** in a decade and has an extremely easy, and probably fun, not that pays just as much as any high end coaching job. Even if he started coaching again why is there this belief that he'd be good? 10 years is a long time.

My uncle's friend's brother, lives in Knoxville and says the cable guy was out hooking up cable t.v. for Gruden this morning.

The way ESPN is firing people, and with how deep their head is in the sand about why their ratings are dropping...let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if they can't keep their partnership and gruden sees the future too,

You know who put this rumor out? Gruden and his agent. Why? Because everytime this happens he shows to ESPN how valuable he is and they give him a nice fat raise to sit on his butt and talk football. With no pressure of being fired or hurting his legacy as a hall of fame coach.
Was watching MNF last night, and there was a point in there where Gruden said 'I miss coaching'.
