Our talent problem is coaching not player talent.

Seriously. Does Bill Snyder need Texas talent to beat them? Don’t we supposedly have more “talent” than other teams in the West. If we lose any more West division games it will be because of coaching not player deficit. Winning out in the West should not save this staff.

These threads have been appearing every year for the past fifteen years. Chicken or egg. Seriously.

Agree. But, our talent is not good or close to a top 20 team. Top 40, maybe. Hence our top 40 classes (with the players who left).

People who read RSS or the local beat writers believe “the next star” “was offered by OSU, too - but didn’t Mention they didn’t recruit him” “4 star - they didn’t mention we beat out ISU, CSU, and Montana”.

Name a top 3 round NFL draft pick on the team? After you realize it’s zero, think there’s at least 4 more years until that can happen.

Please list the current Seniors that are playing for Nebraska right now and be completely objective at where you would rank Nebraska's Senior class against the rest of the country.

We have some needs, that much is certain but we're not completely devoid of athletes. We all know Florida State is loaded but last night they looked no different than we have, they lacked everything.

Except for Parrella of course. His issue is talent.

It's not an "either, or" discussion. The answer is both. But in the Huskers case, it's more coaching than recruiting. The tipping point for me is the poor decisions coaches have made in choosing who to recruit. Quite a few "risky" prospects brought in by Bo, same with Riley, especially at WR. Meanwhile, blue collar, tough S.O.B. two or three star prospects got ignored who could be making us a better team right now. Would those guys help us beat Ohio State or Penn State? Maybe not, but we would be much, much more competitive than what we're suiting up with right now.

So was it talent or coaching when Miami and FSU were blowing Osborne's teams out of the water? Remember when Nebraska Fan wanted to run TO out of the state? Was he a bad coach then? Some people just don't know much about football.

Or did Barry Switzer resign and then TO became a great coach. If we’re being honest.

And then account for the fact that this senior class was recruited to play in a much different offense and much different defense in a much different culture.

Or... or... maybe none of us have a clue? Lol. I know I don't.

All I know is I don't like what I have seen out of NU football for 16 years. And I am frustrated. So yeah... I only have one thing to go by: what I see on the field. I am an ignorant slob about all of that other ****.

Great coaches lead to great teams. We don't even have a mediocre team right now.

So bring on the next coach. And hopefully we will get it right finally

We're not talking about Miami and FSU in Florida, we're talking about Northern Illinois in Lincoln. That's not talent that's coaching problems.
