Why is Moos not making a definitive statement on Riley?

Is he trying to sabotage the program? He needs to stop with the PC-speak and make it known what Riley's requirements are for the rest of this season If he wants to be here next year. These kids and coaches DESERVE that from the AD.

Did I do that right?

This guy is not a Nebraskan and does not understand how things are done around here. He was sent here to tank the program.

Maybe he has to Riley, but hasn't disclosed to the public. I remember TO did that to Callahan but the public found out about his requirements during a press conference after BC was fired.

We all know the correct way to do this is tell everybody. Media and public especially

He's been on the job what, two days now? Doesn't know where the bathrooms are yet. I know there is sarcasm in the original posts. We will never know what the expectations were that we're set for this staff. Kind of difficult for the new guy to come in and change them.

And you. But seriously, how can a coach be expected to even field a team with an AD obviously trying to go against the teams efforts?
He had an AD who metaphorically humped him. He still managed to once again turn out a record similar to those he did at Oregon State. Even with all the resources!

The expectations for this staff are simple: learn how to pack your bags

Moos is his AD. His refusal to communicate anything clearly in the press and publicly is crippling everything and making it impossible for the players and the coaches to even practice.

Moos is his AD. Now.

Eichorst was/is the biggest waste of space to ever serve as an employee of NU. Like Pennsy said, at least let the dude find the men’s bathroom first.

Who cares about the players and coaches. Moos hasn't even posted on this board once. Doesn't he know this board will tell him what to do?

I would hope that Moos has communicated to Riley expectations and consequences, or at least some level of performance review. I don't know if the public would be privy to those communications.

I suppose if Moos goes all SE silent treatment, Riley melts down on camera, then we will have replaced one idiot with another.

Troll? I am just concerned about the health and transparency of the program. By all means, think what you want I guess.
I only react to what’s written. I do not disagree with you, per se, however, your sarcasm has been laid on pretty thick this season. :)

Moos' policy is that he never comments on coaches until the end of the season.

...unless he hired them...and they stink. Then he will speak out if he thinks there is a chance people like that numbers guy on HO will believe some nonsense about great recruiting and will buy rah-rah drivel about "brick by brick."

Nope. He said he never fires them until the end of the season. But he does comment....

I don't think Moos should paint himself into a corner with that sort of public talk.

Coming from a tranny preacher who believes everything the old coach (who hates Nebraska) said, this is an awesome post. How very hypocritical. But then again, I knew you would take the chicken-**** route and not own how ridiculous this sounds (and how much of a lie it was then, and now).

My post may have gone over your head...or was it your comment that went over mine?
huh? You said in your post in the first line that Moos has a policy not to comment on a coach until the end of the season. That is wrong. His policy is that he will not fire a coach until the end of the season. He never said anything about not commenting.

I would prefer Moos relay the message about wins to Call...I mean Riley in private. Then he would know right where he stands. The fans can find out later in the transition to a new coach. That is actually how a professional would handle it. But Moos could take the easy way out and say something like, "I don't comment on coaches during the season," if having to talk about Riley's losing gives him cold sweats and makes him sleep at night with his stuffed "Energy Bus" toy. But somehow I don't think that is Moos' style.

Sorry, I was trying to imply that no AD in his right mind would handle a coach like Shawn Eichorst who said he doesn't talk about coaches during the season when Bo was the coach but that all changed when he was trying to prop up Mike.

Moos will make a good hire. Not kidding. Proven in tough environments, like Eastern Washington.

And you still are taking the naive stance that the AD had no communication with the football coach. It's cute that you are literally as ill-informed as a bag of ****. Carry on believing what the whack-job said to anyone that is dumb enough to listen. The real world continues to blow right by a pathetic preacher pretending to be his wife on a sports message board. Reality escapes you

What was his last hires record the 1st 3 years? Because no way he even gets to year 3 with those amazing results.

You mean exactly what Osborne did with Blo while trying to cover up who he really was, and how he hated the very program he coached in?

This thread is hilarious.

You are so damned afraid of the TC. It's ok, they won't hurt you.

1. Riley makes millions of dollars....some on this board make 100 times less, and might be fired by next year...nobody cares...and I don't care if Riley feels "insecure"...he can cry into his millions of bills when he is fired the day after Iowa.
2. The kids could have gone to play football at literally thousands of places with a better education, but less attention, glory, and opportunity for the NFL...they chose a fishbowl because they want the attention and chance at millions...they pay the price because this is high stakes football and they can lose their coach in a heartbeat...they can always transfer to doane, get a better education in a heartbeat. I bet they don't....

Hopefully this AD doesn't make the mistake of not firing the coach when he should like the last one.
