Entertaining, dynamic offensive FB. But can that O get the hard yards in the B1G? Could POB or Gebbia operate that scheme?

Just a thought here. If the NU job was offered to Frost and he bagged on it, would he become THE Judas of Husker Nation?

Not over but it looks like UCF is going to win.

Those posters who already have their post composed and expertly wordsmithed are likely going to have to wait at least another week until Frost loses and they can pounce.

They are just dying to hit send.
Like North Korea’s honcho. :D

Lose? Surely that can never happen to Tom Osborne Jr!

In some fans eyes he’s a pariah for being in the conversation, so yes, he probably would be a Judas for some if he refused.

Well, he's already done it seven times. Wish that Georgia Tech game hadn't been cancelled. Sorry beating Navy's backup QB and Austin Peay doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence about beating the OSU and Wisconsins in the world.

Exactly who inspires you to beat those teams? And whoever that is doesn’t mean he’ll come in and light up the world, there are no guarantees no matter who the next coach is.

If a kid who was playing for Wahoo Neumann last year can run that offense, I think Gebbia can.

Stupid comment. It’s a completely different skill set. The Neumann kid has run that offense for at least 6 years, but probably closer to 10 years. And it’s not like he was a scrub. It requires skill and practice, and much more than one year of it. We have no one on the roster currently that is capable

I would start with coaches that have already beaten those teams. And past results are good indicators of future returns.

What skills does Noah Vedral have that Tristan Gebbia doesn't? It's not rocket science.

Imagine if the UCF Athletic Director had said "I can't hire Scott Frost because we don't have a QB on the roster that can run his offense".

Their own qb was hobbled for most of the game and had to play their backup qb too for a drive. UCF has already blown out a top 25 team this year. You're being very nitpicky and holding Frost to a different standard than you would any other coach.

Not too many coaches are beating Ohio State and Wisconsin consistently, and I doubt the ones who beat them on occasion are going to come to Lincoln.

Hardly. Frost has beaten one ranked team in his career (Memphis). I don't think it's unreasonable to have reservations about any coach who has only ever beat one top twenty five team.

We should just stick with MR considering he beat Pete Carroll coached USC teams.

Seriously though, it's not unreasonable to feel that way. Frost certainly wont be a guarantee..

No, obviously the people who were concerned about Riley's career record were correct. I'd just prefer a coach who's proven he can compete with elite teams regularly than a coach who dominates a weak league. But I recognize it's all opinions and mine is no more valid than anyone else's.

Looks like a Frost win doesn't mean anything but a Riley loss is basically a win. #RileyMath

He has his team undefeated...they have the highest scoring offense in the nation. What more do haters want?
Not a hater, but if he played against better defenses I'd be much more excited.

FIU: 61
Memphis: 119
Maryland: 105
Cincinnati: 92
ECU: 129
Navy: 78

To Frosts’ credit, his team is playing well against the competition that’s scheduled for his team. Outside of the top ten defenses in the country, a LOT of teams look pedestrian on the defensive side of the ball and I wouldn’t discount UCF’s ability to move the ball on a lot of competition.

As a coach, I have no doubt that he’s Mike Riley’s better, much much better.

riley had beaten Wisconsin

He was also a career .500 coach. Like I said, give me a coach who has won consistently and won more than one game against a ranked team. Hopefully Moos is more objective than your typical Frost worshiper.

Slightly off topic but that Duggan kid from council bluffs would be great in any offense..hope we get him.
