My post was in response to the guy that said having a good year in the American Conference isn't worth anything. I pointed out some teams UCF has beaten and for comparison asked how they would do against Nebraska.

I never would claim that you have a good team this year.
That would be me. And to be clear, I understand there have been some very good teams in the American. But I also understand that it is not a P5 conference.

I ask you Tuco, if Frost brought his UCF team to Lincoln in 2 weeks, who would be favored to win by Vegas, how many points does Frost's UCF have to give?

Don't care. He isn't bringing UCF to Lincoln in 2 weeks. You can play fairy land football and pretend all you want.

I made the assumption you understood what putting all of your eggs in the Frost basket meant, apparently my assumption proved false.

The point I was making is that you and others are hell bent on Frost being the next coach. There are 25 threads related to Scott Frost on this forum alone. Everyone of them telling me how great he is going to be. Again awesome if it comes to fruition. But the line of heartbreak and anger is going to be long if Frost decides to take his talents elsewhere.

Why are you responding to yourself?

Tuco, you can't have a diversified portfolio of Head Coaches, there can be only 1. Only 1 chosen one.

#1 class in the G5 last year in his first full year. Ahead of countless P5 teams. Are you having a tough time understanding that? Who cares about a recruiting year in October? Surely you understand that.

My son once got a trophy for first place in the Silver division of a baseball tournament. They actually came in 7th place. We didn't celebrate too much.

UCF beat Memphis 40-13 and Maryland 38-10 (on the road). I would be interested in what the Vegas line would be if you guys played Memphis and Maryland right now.

I wonder if UCF would beat Memphis and Maryland after playing Wisconsin and OSU in back to back weeks.

Wisconsin game was close til the start of the 4th.. they did wear down in that one. Osu was no effort on the defensive side of the ball..run along now and tell all your cronies what you learned from the husker board now and get ready to come back down to earth in the next couple weeks cause no matter who coaches ucf or who plays for them you guys will never be relevant in college football for any long period of time.. shoot not even relevant in florida now beat it

These systems are pretty friendly to what you have available so not having a true dual threat QB isn't quite the killer some would assume it to be. You wouldn't have a major threat from the QB's legs but the offense doesn't completely rely on that either. Frost has done a pretty good job at putting his system in place down there, made it happen quick so that is a positive for him at this point.

Per rivals, Milton was the #10 recruit out of Hawaii in 2016 and a 5.5 3*. If Frosty ends up in Lincoln, I think his preferred QB will be a bit different than what we have on our roster. Gebbia probably comes close to fitting the bill.
Rivals does a terrible job of rating dual threat qb's. Wasn't Lamar Jackson a 3*?

If Scott frost is the answer, what will you guys do on defense? One drawback of the spread/quick tempo offense is that If you don't move the ball you wear your defense out really quick(insert Kelly not making it in the NFL) think you guys stay with a 3-4?

I think the assumption is Frost would either bring his guy with him (who runs a 3-4) or keep Diaco.

I understand some of the UCF fans that have come over here have been a bit rude, but these kinds of posts are what get Knight fans all fired up and irritated to act that way.

Three-fourths of the schools in the P5 are never "relevant for any long period of time." Yet they get the benefit of "Power" 5 membership not because of anything they have done, or the potential of what they can do, but because they happen to be "old" schools that were playing football before UCF even existed as a school. And with the anti-competitive, collusion that takes place in college football to ensure the "power" schools keep that power, it is not a surprise that teams like UCF or Houston are fighting an uphill battle to sustain long term success.

UCF is more relevant in Florida now than the Gators and Noles, both of whom might struggle to even make a bowl game this year. If Scott Frost stays one or two more years, UCF will stay in the Top 25 almost every week. Our team is very young and deep, so we lose very few players each year during that span and the #2 player at every position on our team except CB is very solid because our 2s get a lot more playing time than at most schools.

Well with all due respect.. I am not on the UCF board puffing my chest about anything Nebraska... So while I agree with the majority of your post my response was to the other UCF fan who wants to come on our message board and try to discredit our university.. again I will defend my team against anyone attacking it.. I have NO problems with posts like you just did. Also understand that a few bad apples certainly dont make up your entire fan base so hopefully no hard feelings
