Frost to Washington State!

No way they keep Leach after losing 37-3!

They were the #8 team and their crappy ex-Heisman hopeful Falk threw 5 INT's!

So do we want Leach or Dabo? Coin flip time!

Nope. Probably going to have to give Riley an extension and a raise if we expect to remain lucky enough to keep him here at NU. There are going to be a lot of programs out there looking to swoop in and steal him from us.

With so much parity in college football, it's hard to finish over .500 on a consistent basis.
Exactly! We need to hang on to Riley! Extend his contract now. Ten year contract at 5 million a year with a 25 million buyout clause! No way I want Riley bolting to Clemson after they fire Dabo!

Now that's funny! Pay the man- he's nice

If only Clemson had a stronger walk-on program.

Also, Dabo never had Doc Tom's blessing as head coach, so the TC was never going to accept him. In fact, I can't even recall Tom meeting with Dabo in some random resturant & then getting upset about it when people found out. Poor Dabo never stood a chance.

You do realize that this game in fact points out the parity in college football. Everybody has good athletes these day

Exactly dingle. That's why we should lower our expectations. Expecting Riley to win games like NIU, Purdue last year, Illinois two years ago, and etc. consistently is just unfair to Riley in only three years at NU. I mean, come on people. You need to be patient. We are so close to getting to be one of those teams like ISU that will be relevant nationally for two or three minutes because we knocked off a top ten team.

Our unrealistic fan base also needs to stop expecting NU to stay within 30 or 40 points of good competition and finish over .500 on regular basis, too. Plus Riley is a nice guy and always smiles and shakes hands after the game, even when we get blown out.

I mean, come on.....give the guy a break.

Yep. And the fact that there is so much parity in CFB it makes it even more important to have a coach that can out X n O other coaches. Gives me warm and fuzzies knowing that we have Langsdorf on our side.

I've said it before, we had the talent to beat Wisconsin IMO. We made too many mistakes at DE and linebacker in particular late in the game. We had a couple of bad turnovers on offense. The first turnover was a 14 point swing. We missed a field goal. We should have probably gone in to half time up by at least 7 points if not 10. We have enough talent to compete but some (alot) of it are freshmen and sophomores learning a new defensive system. A new QB, who clearly struggled with his decision process early killed us in our early losses. RB injuries have been a problem. There's lots of excuses but we hung with Wisconsin but just did not get the job done defensively in the 2nd half. Hell we should have beat Oregon and fell just short of at least sending it to OT in that comeback. We're close and personally I think Riley can still get us there and I guess I'm not willing to give up on him yet. IF we do we better give Frost a shot or we'll never hear the end of it.

Make sure that you get on your knees and sign the N across your chest as you gaze up at his holiness.

If if ands and buts were nuts......

Your post probably explains why Riley should not be our coach than why he should be our coach....lol.

Good coaches find a way to win the majority of their games against inferior/equal competition....and be highly competitive against superior competition.

I agree with a lot of what you've been posting lately, but the Wisconsin game I whole heartedly disagree. Our front 7 on defense is woefully inadequate in the talent department to beat a top 10 caliber power running team like Wisconsin. You could see it in warm ups...they were bigger and stronger than us and guys like mick stoltenberg just aren't going to get it done vs a team like Wisconsin. I stood in the stands and realized it was over when Wisconsin quit trying to be cute and just ran it down our throat on that 92 yard td drive. There was nothing we could do to stop it from a player ability stand point.

We were told the "Nebraska guy who gets it" would coach them up. But it is ok. He gets a pass.

We were also told Riley is a nice guy and has all the resources to win at Nebraska that he didn't have at Corvallis.

" Nebraska way, walk ons, coaches who have no resume other than played for Osborne, the 90s". Keep telling yourself it's gonna work. Don't forget to blow on your thumb and get your lotion out. Now have the nurse change that diaper and clean you up. You may re-fill that thing tonight. That blowout is coming and you will love it.
