if we struggle this year - Cav will get the ax and we will cede another extra 2-3 years to see improvement in order to give the new O-line coach time to get his system and players in place - getting rid of Langs will be held in reserve for when the seat gets really hot to buy more time. That should string things along until retirement.

Cav isn't going anywhere. We could see some guys lose their starting spots to younger O linemen though if they don't step up.

I really like the level-headed, well-thought posts you have put up today. However, I gotta disagree with this one. I think Cav was under a microscope going into the season and suspect his seat is getting pretty warm. HCMR all but called him out by name in the PC today.

I listened to Riley and I really didn't get a sense of frustration with Cav. Individual failures on the line yes. Cav not really but he is their coach. My suspicion is that any pressure comes from Devaney on all of these coaches. I like the idea of somebody evaluating assistants who is qualified to do it (not an AD) and who isn't one of their long time friends. Brendan Stai has said many times that when he played for NU and again in the NFL that the O lines really didn't get in synch together for 4-5 games and IF you had an injury there was always a period of adjustment to that guy. We've had 2 games with one in an environment that was really tough on O line communication. With injuries last year, I'm willing to cut him some slack and see how we end up playing this year. He's recruited some really good young players.

So I don't have a right to request an answer to my question? He posts only stats that make TL look bad and leaves out 3 TDs, and you don't find that unusual?

You missed the whole point.......don't request the answer to your question 23 different times. He doesn't have to answer it because its obvious you are also pushing your agenda. There are probably 10 different stats that could have been posted and he did a couple of them. You are arguing about 1 other. Why aren't you arguing about the other 5? Because you have your own agenda. Post those positives......as you did and move on. Geesh

Here's the thing. If he's gonna post stats that are only detrimental stats I have a problem with that. I'm gonna call him out on it. And if he addresses me but ignores my question, I'm gonna ask it again.

Simple as that. Of course I have an agenda, I'm not trying to hide anything or suggest otherwise. My agenda is for someone who called me a friggin dolt and an idiot who "made stuff up" to man up and respond to a simple question about his creative use of stats.

I'll admit he had me fooled. I thought he'd come out throw 65% and be a first rounder after this season. He's still has a lot of potential but he's got a long way to go.

No , not piling on . He stares down receivers and made a dangerous throw again on third down. I just don't like when we as fans annoint players before they have ever played a down. As of right now he's the same player he was at Tulane. Hope Langs can coach him
