any high level coach is going to be highly sought after in the BIG.

As I have stated in the other thread the BIG is not a power conference in baseball and therefore these are not destination coaching jobs. We have a unique situation with Erstad in that he played at Nebraska, has donated a lot of money to the university, and is financially set. But if the major baseball programs come calling it is going to be difficult to retain high level coaches. Much in the same way that W Michigan wasn't going to keep PJ Fleck when the power 5 football programs came calling.

Not only did zero big teams make a super regional none made it to the regional finals or round of 32. What would the reaction be if no big ten teams made it out of the first round of the basketball tourney. And this was a year that the BIG as a conference had its highest RPI ranking

I tend to be a "string him up. It'll teach him a lesson" kind of guy but for a 15 year old to have to carry that noose around for the rest of his life is sad. Peri-pubescent boys do some really stupid stuff sometimes. I'm not blaming OSU on this one unless they knowingly told him to not report himself as a registered sex offender living in the area.
