I would still take him in a heartbeat. Depth needed still. I would have liked to see us take another walk on QB at the very least this year. We're talented but thin at QB.
take him, but no way he'd want to be here, essentially the same situation as Oregon, plus he's not the right fit overall.I would still take him in a heartbeat. Depth needed still. I would have liked to see us take another walk on QB at the very least this year. We're talented but thin at QB.
Didn't forget him at all. I would like another QB on the roster. IF you get a couple of injuries like last year you almost get to the point where you don't have enough depth to practice effectively. Another walk on would have been good and maybe there's somebody going to show up this fall that we don't know about.Andrew Bunch is who you're forgetting. (I assume)
To be honest, I felt like the two years with Tommy actually were very fruitful for Riley and Langsdorf in that they have seen the advantages a running QB can provide. The problem isn't with a running QB, but with a QB who couldn't go through progressions and wasn't very careful with the ball.Good luck to him. I didn't see a good fit for him in HCMR/Lang's offense and to be honest, was glad he chose Oregon. The attempt by HCMR/Langs to rework their offense to accommodate Tommy combined with TA's execution in that jury-rigged offense was awkward and painful to watch.

Those problems hurt any system. They'd have been just fine with a running QB if he was Deshawn Watson.
Who? Wilson? Martinez? Armstrong? Watson?
I'll take Watson's production
