Rivals Top 100 2018 ATH
I'm not sure Read even offered prospects, did he?It's just an offer. Bruce Read did that. Let's get some commits.

Serious question: Why not just throw offers out to the top 100 or top 250 and just spend your resources on the ones you choose to target?

Riley: Well then I just have to ask why can't the coaches take the offers directly to the recruits?
Bruce: Well, I'll tell you why... because... recruits are not good at dealing with coaches...
Riley: So you physically take the offers from the coach?
Bruce: Well... No. My secretary does that... or they're faxed.
Riley: So then you must physically mail the offers to the recruits?
Bruce: Well... No. ah sometimes.
Riley: What would you say you do here?
That doesn't make sense. The offer is binding when we make it. You don't know character or grades or position for that matter.
Not so much. The offer means nothing without a LOI. LOI is sent in February. Offer with no LOI is just a keepsake.
Nebraska has probably sent out 80 or so offers but can only sign 25, give or take, if everyone who had an offer was binding, all kind of rules would be broken.
If you aren't prepared to take all 250, then you better not offer them. An offer is an offer, yes the LOI makes it official for them to accept but the offer is made way before that. You do your homework on the kid for crying out loud. Can you provide the list of 80 we have made, remember the OP was talking top 100 or top 250. A good wY to make lots of people mad. Great pub.

You only make them mad if they want to commit
If you are a damn handsome man, you don't walk in the club and talk to girls that are missing teeth.
That might be called a slump buster.Unless that's your thing. I mean, at some point you become so desensitized to good looking women that you need a woman with a big goiter or a lazy eye. Or so I've been told.

Kinda true.
I'll consider a lazy eye, but no on the goiters.

Bruce Read did something, Interesting.......It's just an offer. Bruce Read did that. Let's get some commits.
Wisconsin throws offers out to get kids to visit. Then when the kid tries to commit they just say, "We're not ready to accept your commitment yet."If you aren't prepared to take all 250, then you better not offer them. An offer is an offer, yes the LOI makes it official for them to accept but the offer is made way before that. So do you send out an offer to every top kid and say ok we will take the first 25 to say yes to us.
You do your homework on the kid for crying out loud, get to know them, it is a relation based agreement after all. Can you provide the list of 80 we have made, remember the OP was talking top 100 or top 250. A good way to make lots of people mad. Great pub.
Hearing some really good news about a couple athletes out west. Hoping to see Nebraska hat pulled a few times.
Greg Biggins, national recruiting analyst for Scout, talked with 2 coaches from 2 different schools and they both say Thomas Graham and Greg Johnson are N.
Johnson is a 4* athlete on Rivals, #98 national ranking.
Graham is a 4* cornerback on Rivals, #110 national ranking.

Stud CBs can play right away - at least they have in the past - makes Kalu situation better (and we have options already on campus and in the current verbals)
Or move to safety, so they can all be on the field together. Not sure if they are any more stud than Lamar Jackson. We'll have options, although you'd probably like Jackson to step up first.
I wouldn't mind upgrading Davis to another Williams clone either. Get your one a year and then move on to other targets nationally![]()
Not to hijack this thread, but I was thinking how great it would be to get a guy that can really recruit DE's. Say Stewart moves on, Banker could coach Safties again and you could hire a new coach to coach and recruit DE's and leave Parrella to DT's. This would mean no coach would have more than 3 position players to coach at a time (assuming a 10th coach is OK'ed and Tavita coaches TE/OT's). I wonder if IMG's coach can coach DE's![]()
If Riley's vision is 5 on each side of the ball, you couldn't do this. I think Parella will do alright with DE's.
