He didn't exactly light it up at Miami. 3 ppg, 12 mpg, 36% FG, 27% from 3. Only played 3 minutes against us in December.

On the other hand, White and Gill didn't do much at their previous schools either. And Palmer was a Top 100 recruit so he must have potential. A change of scenery and a redshirt year of development can make a big difference.

Miami had some big time talent this year and have recruited well. We've had some great contributions from guys that didn't get much PT with their former teams. I heard a stat the other day on the radio that I believe went that something like 60% of college sophomore basketball players wished that had gone to school somewhere other than the school they were at.

Anytime you can pick up a former top 100 high school 2 guard who gets to play the year you lose a couple of guys, you should probably take him. He should fit nicely after his redshirt year. This is just a ver nice aside to our pursuit of bigs.
