NU has a winnable game this weekend against a team who could give them problems if they can't keep their passing game in check.

Defensively the key will be getting pressure on their QB. I dont think the game will be close if they can do this. If not, we may be looking at another nail biter.

GBR!

You may be thinking of another year my friend. Love the outlook though!

Rutgers has 2 wins over FBS teams. Those 2 teams have a combined record of 4-14. Nebraska, which no one will accuse of being a good team this season, has 4 wins over FBS teams. Those 4 teams have a combined record of 22-13.

Nebraska needs to show up, avoid the dreariness of the empty stadium, and execute. If they do that, they will win.

And while someone will ultimately bring up Purdue, keep in mind Nebraska had 7 players starting vs. Michigan State whom didn't start vs. Purdue. Its looking Nebraska is healthy right now as well.

Sweet lord. Do not underestimate anyone.

Avoid turnovers, avoid giving up big plays, dont make mistakes and be sound on special teams, and run the football.

Don't turn the ball over: Their D is bad and we should be able to move the ball. I don't see their D stuffing us very often, but TO's can.

Contain Carroo: I am pretty sure he will be back, which could give their O some life. We can't let him torch us and keep them in the game by himself.

Get some 3rd down stops: They have a very high completion percentage and we all know our struggles in the secondary. Could make for a very frustrating game is we can't get our D off the field on 3rd down.

If Carroo is playing you will have a game on your hands. The only team I have seen stop him is OSU. No one else has been able to contain him. If you fly out to NJ thinking about Iowa and that you'll get a quick win against Rutgers you are in for a painful surprise. The loser of this game won't go bowling. Our players can sense Kyle Flood's job is in serious jeopardy and when they do, they always play their balls off somehow.

Now, if Carroo isn't playing and you show up? We will score 7-9 points.

The below offensive production without Carroo in B1G play:

PSU: 3 points
Wisconsin: 3 points
Michigan: 9 points

Honestly, I hope you win. We need a new coach in the worst way. Attendance will be bad on Saturday and it could get ugly. Our fanbase is absolutely livid right now.

i'm going to commission a study to further research the relationship.
In such a study I'd like to recommend you use the Huskers in your "score more points" condition forever so that you can control for variables like "team color" and "not being the Huskers."

Carroo is a concern of mine considering our pass rush and secondary.

By the way, NEVER root against your team! Things will shake themselves out without you hoping your favorite team loses. All you can do is try to enjoy the ride!

I think it's almost a given that Carroo will try to go; it's just a question of how effective he will be.
I like the idea of running the ball effectively. I hope we stick with that.

you just have to keep scoring. caroo will tourch nebraska. he has torched everybody he has played when healthy. rutgers also has a good punt and kick return guy. rutgers does not play any defense. in b10 games they are giving up 43 a game. as long as nebraska keeps its foot on the pedal they should win easy. the only game rutgers has won in the b10 was when iu was up big and let rutgers comeback and win.

You guys are now in for a game. Carroo is going to play. If you don't show up ready for a battle you will miss a bowl game.

The way we've played this year, I would argue that even without Carroo if we don't show up ready to play we are in for a battle and not going bowling.
