Apparently there have been people talking directly to recruits at the games and casting negativity on the program. Bereft Bolievers Being Bitches..
Wow, if true, that is the lowest thing a "fan" could do. Unbelievable, really, that a person would pay the money to go to the game to trash the coaches when communicating with the recruits. I hope what you have said is not true, but it does validate KJJ's words about some of the fan interaction.

It is exactly what a percentage of our "fans" do. You can't make this stuff up.
It's an odd time in our program's history. The fan base is still fractured and divided. I really think that only gets fixed in a best or worst case scenario. Win enough to unite, or lose enough to quit caring.
Regardless, it amazes me that some would rather be "right" on their side of the issue more than enjoy what we have. I guess that's the times we live in.

Yeah, and then proceed to call other board members, "morons", and then run a piece denegrating Steve Pederson. What they need to do is look in the mirror. The blowhorn clamoring for fan peace, seems to be one of the loudest instigators.

Like I've said before any fans that would do this, it is more important in their mind to be right then it is to support the team. And I bet some of these same morons will ***** in February about why we didn't have a better recruiting class.

While I agree talking negatively directly to recruits is childish and moronic and that DOES affect recruiting...negativity on message boards and in general does not...ask Les Miles how his recruiting classes have worked out lately? There is a fine line with the negativity...when you start going directly to the recruit to bash on the program...that will definitely affect it, but I dont believe venting on a message board will.
I really hope someone would do their best to take down the HPH site and all their posters. The university should refuse to accept any money from those on that board. Love it or leave it!
As usual you resort to name calling, which I'm pretty sure is against board rules and if you continue, I hope it earns you a vacation, as it fosters the fan division people claim to dislike. I'm not addressing the fan/ recruit allocations. If they happened, that's just wrong. Have you been listening to the USC show today??? They're still running the Steve Pederson bit. Not saying some of that stuff wasn't funny, it just goes against what they're claiming they want. They want people to give the current staff more time and yet they create many segments fostering their own division by trying to find any reason they can to blame things on the previous staff. Things which inevitably carry over to various message boards. No mention of message board posts blaming anything and everything on BO PELINI or them, who even seem to be leading the Bash BO parade. So they want fans to support Riley, while bashing BO. Fan unity needs to begin with the media outlets . BO wasn't here telling Tommy to pass the ball when 2 knees proly would have iced it. THIS, staff, was on the sidelines for every decision this season, some of which were directly responsible for tearing defeat from the clutches of victory.
Not related at all. Their point was to not go out of your way to try and harm the program you profess to care about. To do right rather than do anything to prove you are right. I don't think anyone has a problem with fans getting pissy with one another. The thing on Pederson is a bit funny. You think that is having a negative affect on the program?
Respectfully, the name calling was reserved for fans in the stands trashing the coaches to the recruits. I did, however, take issue with your post. I thought it had nothing to do with the fans in the stands, which is why I called it moronic. Maybe it's semantics, but I didn't call you a moron... just didn't care for your post.
I am not listening to USC, as I live in the twin cities and am not streaming it on my computer, so I can't speak to what they are saying on the program. TBH, I thought you were carrying on about how fans treat each other on the message boards, not what was going on with USC. Either way, I failed to see how it applied to what was going on in the stadium with supposed fans trashing the coaches to potential recruits. Sorry if I offended you, I just don't understand why anybody would use this thread to call out those who are supporting the coaches because they are calling out those who are anti-Riley. If there was ever a thread where we should be united in our anger towards "Fans" seeking to harm the program, this is the thread.

I am shaking my head at this. One, "no", they don't look to find any reason to blame the previous staff. I listen to them pretty regularly, and they are absolutely fair in their opinions. Two, who gives a s@%t if they bag on Bo all day long? It has nothing to do with idiots going out of their way to try to undercut the current staff / administration, thereby having a direct affect on the program's future success. Just look at the way you finish your post; you go into a tizzy on a bad decision by the staff. That has nothing to do with the conversation, but you make it a point of mentioning it. Your group is so defensive and personally hurt over the outing of Bo, that you cannot help yourself to point out mistakes by the current staff. It is truly bizarre.

Get a grip. Yeah, ONLY Nebraska boards have fans bitching about coaching and problems with the program. No where else. And if they do, the recruits only react negatively toward the Husker boards, no others. Every fan base in the country has the same problem. Quit acting likes it's only a Nebraska thing.

The overall point I'm trying to make is that if the fan base is ever going to unite, the Riley side needs to stop blaming BO for everything going wrong this season and the BO side needs to stop jumping on each mistake made by current staff. Each staff stands on their own 2 feet and the previous staff is no longer here.
I'm really growing weary of all the bickering and I think that is something both sides can and should agree on.
Also, Husker message boards are places where Husker fans look to glean and share info. Posters should be able to express opposing opinions without all this disrespect and name calling. If people disagree with something, why can't they ask for further clarification instead of calling others liars, idiots or morons, something I doubt, would happen in a face to face interaction. And as I said, this needs to begin with the media outlets. But, individually, we can all do our part to be respectful of others, NOW!
We will continue to blame Bo for the damage he did to this once proud program until it is rebuilt. That will likely take 4-5 years to get it back to where it once was.
Well, I someone has a post from another board that basically said he is working on getting players and recruits out of the program after Bo was fired. HPH is a cesspool of people who are Bo fans and would do anything to see Bo back here. There was talk of them putting a trip together to go see Bo at YSU. As far as the texts to the players from coaches, Collins may have tried to downplay it, but I have been told that they have been seen by former players.
I can understand that. But if you were that same recruit you would probably be choosing a smaller school because most big time schools have the fans that are posting negatively in message boards. Now the fans that talk to you directly...yea they wod be idiots and I would understand you crossing that school off.
Those former players need to put up or shut up. Collins put his name and reputation on the line by telling what he knows. Spreading a bunch of rumors without a source is weak...it only causes division and makes Collins out to be a liar.

What I want to know is why you get to pick and choose which huskers we should support and which ones we should call names...
Collins is one player, and three former players are disputing his words. But sure, we'll go with the one player because you say so.
Is it possible that Collins might be saying these things to attempt to diffuse this situation? As a captain, maybe he and the other captains are attempting to rectify the situation and can't do it as easily if what has been stated by the former players is true?
What you have is a he said/she said scenario that is very difficult to prove. obviously someone is lying. If it's the former players then they are trying to sully Bo and Kaz's name. For what reason? If it is Collins, he is trying to contain a sticky situation.
Which sounds more reasonable? To me, the second answer. Why would three former players fake this story? It just doesn't make sense.
Why cause a bunch of consternation if you aren't going to say what happened? . Collins came out, named names, and said what was discussed. These guys go on the radio and make accusations but don't say how they know. If they came on this board and did that we would have to kick them off because we don't allow rumors here...allegedly.
