The Bears found out after just one year that Trestman would not succeed so they cut their loses. The Huskers must do the same with Riley and his staff.

There's no way this happens at all. Unless a shocking turn of events occurs, we have these coaches for minimum 4 years.

I could see Riley one and done of his own choosing. He is retirement age and surely will regret his decision if he doesn't already. The heat is going to become unbearable. He should have retired at OSU.

Yeah, if this was the pros then yes Riley might get a pink slip in December. But it's a university and that university wants to see Riley lead its student athletes for several years.

This is really our only hope. Maybe he does, but doubtful he knows what type of pressure will be put on him starting now. It will get ugly and hopefully he just wants out.

Can't afford to be paying off two multi-million dollar buyouts and try to pay top dollar for an elite replacement staff.

Riley is N for awhile.

I think you are wrong. If we win just a few games this year, and next year doesn't go much better, both Riley and Eichorst will be out of here in a couple of years. A program that is already in a tenuous position can't handle much more than a couple poor seasons.
