Here’s one that when it pops up on my playlist, I belt out at the top of my lungs, windows up or down. I love it.

Eric "Roscoe" Ambel is a producer/performer that has played around for a long time. His first "big" project was the Del Lords which has lasted off and on for years. He played with Steve Earle and the Dukes. He founded the Yahoos with Dan Baird (Georgia Satellites). He was the guitarist on Joan Jett's I love Rock and Roll Album.

Fantastic, thanks!
The Dan Baird mention brings this song to mind.

I think perfect songs make you feel better about life and instantly put you in a better mood when you hear them. Here are a few that make it happen for me...

Temptations - My Girl
Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody
Righteous Brothers - You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin'
Otis Redding - Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
Richard Harris - MacArthur's Park
Everly Brothers - too many to list
Simon & Garfield - just pick one, they're all pretty damn good.
Elvis Presley - any but my favorite is Fallin' in Love with You
Bing Crosby - White Christmas, I know but it is great!

More as I think of them

Let Down, Radiohead. The bridge almost makes me cry every time I hear it

One of the best songs ever. Truth

Transport
Motorways and tramlines
Starting and then stopping
Taking off and landing
The emptiest of feelings
Disappointed people
Clinging onto bottles
And when it comes it's so so disappointing
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Shell smashed, juices flowing
Wings twitch legs are going
Don't get sentimental
It always ends up drivel
One day I am gonna grow wings
A chemical reaction
Hysterical and useless
Hysterical and
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Let down and hanging
Let down
Let down
You know, you know where you are with
You know where you are with
Floor collapsing, floating
Bouncing back and
One day I am gonna grow wings
A chemical reaction
(You know where you are)
Hysterical and useless
(You know where you are)
Hysterical and
(You know where you are)
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around

And so I return from abroad and make this my first post (allowing me to avoid commenting on our latest on field "efforts" that I thankfully missed). As to the post... this song just has it all (for me).
