Official PSU vs. Northwestern Game Thread!

[Nittany1865Farmer]

Strange is fast becoming the player of the year for this team!

[PSUSignore]

Really nice play call and execution there.

[BobPSU92]

Nice play by Clifford there as well

I don’t get it.

[Moogy]

Say what you will about our sloppy play. This team is talented enough to get through it.

Talented enough against a team this bad ... sure. Against a better team, it could have been 14-0, or worse, before we got our sea legs and our 10-year starting QB remembered how to throw a ball.

[VaDave4PSU]

Working on our shotgun stuff today. Hopefully Allen in next series then work Singleton back in. He's gotta be better on the hold, NW going after the ball every time he's touched it.

Play call, pass, the run on TD pass to Strange was excellent.

I don't think we can relax just yet- weird stuff happens in this kind of weather

[ManxomeLion]

I don’t get it.

It's the "Clifford redemption play/drive". He's usually good for one per game so as long as his mistakes are early and the game isn't on the line it works out
(Also applies when he gets hit hard, as if it clears the cobwebs out, as long as he isn't injured)

[Nitwit]

Defense has been stellar.

[Bkmtnittany1]

Chop Robinson gets held every play...it's ridiculous how blatant it is...

[ManxomeLion]

Happy Lee's getting some good plays. Perhaps he's the "mudder"

[WestSideLion]

James Franklin seen saying, “What the hell was that???” after Cliff’s last throw.

[ManxomeLion]

Oyyy, Clifford lucky that wasn't a pick

[DELion]

That's Amor - eh!

[PSU87]

James Franklin seen saying, “What the hell was that???” after Cliff’s last throw.

As he should... good grief

Where is Allen?

Same reaction as everyone else watching Clifford still make these kind of mistakes after 8 years in college.

James Franklin seen saying, “What the hell was that???” after Cliff’s last throw.

That was awful too. Did it slip out of his hand? Lucky it wasn’t picked.

[Bkmtnittany1]

WTF is Clifford looking at! One would think a 30 yr old QB would not make such a crappy read!

[PSU12046]

Happy Lee's getting some good plays. Perhaps he's the "mudder"

I was just wondering the same thing. Lee is the Hummer and Singleton is the Porsche

[Moogy]

My younger son's 7th grade football team handled the elements better earlier today than PSU and Northwestern are handling the rain now. Better passing, too.

[Nits74]

James Franklin seen saying, “What the hell was that???” after Cliff’s last throw.

He and the rest of us.

Very prophetic

[Jim from Spicewood]

Can Chad Powers give Amor another scholarship?

[yboby]

Think Allen could be really productive in these conditions. Makes people miss even on a dry field.

[BobPSU92]

Where is Allen?

I’m thinking Franklin doesn’t want to rely on the freshman backs in a close game after the Singleton fumble.

[Moogy]

I like Singleton. Everyone hates a Porsche (and anyone awful enough to drive one).

[PSUAVLNC]

Wonder if Allen is in the dog house??

[VaDave4PSU]

This is where Clifford kills ya. That ball needs thrown over the middle before he crosses into 2 zone players underneath. Terrible throw too. Guess we see Allen next? Perhaps a 2x2x2 rotation today.

[BobPSU92]

Egad. unc 20, vo tech 3, 2nd quarter.

[ManxomeLion]

Tackling by the D seems improved

[BobPSU92]

3rd and long. Ugh.

[Shadow99]

Wonder if Allen is in the dog house??

2 series each for the other 2 so far as part of the typical rotation...no reason to think that Allen won't play unless he doesn't appear next series

[yboby]

Should have blitzed on 3rd down.

[PSU12046]

I like Singleton. Everyone hates a Porsche (and anyone awful enough to drive one).

I only have Hummers. I thank your girlfriend

[Shadow99]

Elsdon wasn't getting held?

[PSU87]

Northwestern holding with impunity....

[WestSideLion]

3rd and long. Ugh.

From inside their own 5. Now at the 50.

[BobPSU92]

Huge break.

[WestSideLion]

Lucky fumbled snap recovery. Phew.
