Looks like Georgia replaced OU with Ball State for next season. I'm sure the networks love that.

Ya know, I've kind of clowned on Memphis for never getting into the Big 12, but maybe we should be rooting for that to happen. Then State could make Memphis a full-time non-conference Power 5 opponent. It would keep us out of the Mountain and Pacific time zones at least.

I think there's a pretty good chance of that happening. The Big 12 wants to accelerate their next media rights deal so they don't give the PAC-12 the advantage over them. It's going to be hard to do that if they don't let Texas & Okie go a year early.

Meh...we kicked their asses playing sloppy. It was a screw job, but I'm not really interested in us punishing ourselves with an 11:00 am game when we should win anyway. Of course I ugess I should see who returns for next year before saying we should win it regardless. Lots of upperclassmen obviously.

Never know the current schools and new schools to the Big 12 might want them gone so they have a better chance at wining the conference. Might work out a cheap deal for them. That is going to be a big conference for a few years until they leave because I believe the teams will be joining next season.

I really like our approach to OOC P5 scheduling. Kansas St., NC State, Arizona, Arizona St., Minnesota, Texas Tech, Washington St. All games that should generally be competitive, but we should have a good chance of winning. I hope these games don't disappear when the SEC goes to a 9-game schedule with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma.

Big12 is going to be aggressive with their media deal, and with the news that ESPN and Pac12 are “100s of millions” apart, this will expedite the Big 12 and be a big carrot to the Arizona schools, Utah, and Colorado. To get that done, they have to get UT and OU’s votes, and therefore an early exit

ETA: adding these 4 schools to Big12 would give ESPN solid late night window for football
