He has no idea what he’s gotten into. His halftime running off the field comment was something close to “We couldn’t have played worse, but this is only my first half as coach so maybe we can.”

From the short snippet in that tweet, I thought he handled it really well. I think he will do well there. The cancer patients will find the money to make sure he has the players, and he will
get them to perform consistently.

Good lord. This guy is in way over his head.

I remember how far over his head this one LSU coach was one time. In his first year….went 7-4 with a loss to freaking UAB. He was also a dick to the media, too.

LSU has a problem. I don't think it will get fixed. It will go down hill from here.

Has nothing to do with him being a dick to the media. He just looks so uncomfortable. Saban never looked like that.

I think it will get it straightened out if they give Kelly time to do it. He's the kind of coach that requires a couple of years to get things going, and LSU was more of a dumpster fire than people let on.

The issue I think is that their fanbase is batshit crazy so they probably aren't going to give him the time he needs. And he's not going to win many friends along the way because he's his own worst enemy.

He’s going to win games there. A lot of games. Don’t think you can really take much from his first game week press conference after a dramatic loss in primetime. He’s used to dealing with a media and fanbase that has 100% of the same expectations as LSU….with about 50% of the talent pool and resources as LSU. He’ll figure it out.

This is still the school where every coach who has been hired since 2000 has won a national championship….including the last two who were both complete morons. And Kelly is the most highly decorated coach they have ever hired in just about any sport.

I think it will worsen most of the year and some players will leave. Maybe some coaching adjustments and next year will be improved. He is a good coach judging by his track record. Canning him would be very difficult. I just hope it's a complete dumpster fire by the 17th. I would love to watch them Dawgs run the third straight set of Cats off the field in a soul crushing manner

For some strange reason, I'm reminded of that scene from the movie "Ted 2" at the Improv

You lost me here.

highly decorated coach

He’s never even won a major conference championship (whaddyaknow?), let alone any other kind. Coached the biggest titty baby program in the country for a damn long time, and has nothing in his trophy case to show for it. Most anytime they played somebody with a pulse (not often), they lost.

Watching them lose in the Superdome, where they’ve won almost all of muh champunchips, and how they blew it was no small sign to me. This potato butt is a square peg in a round hole there.

He's won 3 conf championships in Div 1, and 2 national championships in Div 2. ND isn't in a conference, and that's where he's spent a big portion of his career.

Yeah, I was digging at ND…

He's won 3 conf championships in Div 1, and 2 national championships in Div 2. ND isn't in a conference, and that's where he's spent a big portion of his career.

I changed it to say “major” conference championships.

Throw more money at him to win and film some more hype videos with him dancing with players and throwing gang signs. That's the secret.
