Forgive the ignorance but what did La Tech do to the directional LA schools that pissed them off so much?

Apparently La Tech treated UL-Lafayette and ULM as though they were beneath them, refusing to schedule them in certain sports and asking for 2-for-1s, etc. Which is really laughable, because nobody else in the country would’ve thought that La Tech is head and shoulders above those programs.

Yeah, Tech people always viewed themselves as the best Louisiana state school after LSU. ULL has left them in dirt the past two decades.

I’m in Shreveport. It’s comical up here. Tech fans are rampant and idiots. They seriously think they should be landing spots for 5* players in football and baseball and get butt hurt when it doesn’t happen

MT and WKU had a chance to jump to the MAC last year, but MT is so cash strapped that they turned the move down to get their share of exit fees from schools leaving CUSA. That move left WKU hanging.

And as Columbia said, they both burnt bridges in the Sun Belt when they jumped to CUSA.

It would be better for the Sun Belt to have LA Tech rather than ULM. LA Tech is pretty competitive in most big sports. I can’t remember the last time ULM made noise in anything.

MAC makes even more sense. They seem to be a very stable conference, much like what the Sun Belt is aspiring to be.

I'm in Bossier City too. That's been my experience. I'm a Tech grad and once has MSU season tickets so I can't judge, haha.
