So my daughter, a 5th grader, met all of her reading goals so as a reward, the 5th grade took all of the kids who did to the Mississippi baseball game yesterday. She was only 1 of 4 in her class out of 18 to be able to go. Not sure how many in the whole grade, but it wasn't a whole lot. Anyway, when I picked her up, I asked her how she liked it and the conversation went something like this:
Me: "How did you like the baseball game today?"
Her: "Well, I didn't really watch it."
Me: "Well why not? You went, right?"
Her: "Well first off, I hate Ole Miss. Second, I was in line at the concession stand for a pretty good bit of the time we were there because we had to leave early to make it back to school on time."
I'm doing something right with this one.
