If they took away some scholarships couldn't they work a NIL deal to cover the cost of school for a 5 star "walk on" plus the usual bag of cash? A stronger *** offer so to speak

No, a school cant work an NIL deal.

It isnt naive, it is accurate. It is very clear, thru reading posts over the last year, than some on this board think schools can directly set up NIL deals for their student athletes. I responded in a way that assumed the other poster thinks that way since the other poster made a comment that sure makes it seem they think that way.

NOBODY thinks that. It's just a lot easier and quicker to type LSU set up an NIL deal that the LSU coach covertly and indirectly contacted one or more key boosters who then "independently" contacted the student athlete to set up an NIL deal.

I am not sure how someone that is as active as you could have missed all the discussion of this over the 9 or so months. At this point, nobody should still think it, thats for sure.
