Those are valid concerns anytime a content producer is bought. If I were a fan of The Athletic as it is today, I'd feel much better about a company like the Times buying it, than Acme Venture Capitalists who oftentimes only value 1 or 2 aspects of the content producer and plan to chunk whatever remains.
