Unpopular opinion, I know....but as a hunter it's Tenn. St. on opening day of deer season and it presents itself between the morning and afternoon hunt.....TV IT IS!

It's just one more step in moving off off TV and onto streaming. Now, if I want to watch the game I have to start at 11:00 and can't pause it, or wait till about an hour after the game ends. Much less flexibility. And the video and audio quality may be good or may be ****. You just never know, but with ESPN, it's usually the second one.

It's sad that with ESPN the official stream is so bad that the pirated versions from Europe are usually much better.

Haha. Touche sir.

Nope, just was hoping for an afternoon kickoff. 11am games are the pits. Especially if you’re streaming a meaningless game, start us later!

This is what makes it ********. It's such a meaningless, undesirable game that you don't even want to televise it. I can completely understand that opinion. But if it's so meaningless and undesirable, let the school pick the start time. A MSU/Tenn St game is not going to draw a meaningful number of eyeballs away from whatever games they are actually televising and there's no reason to 17 over people that wan to go to or watch the game to prevent competition with other games that are being televised.

Yes, this was my thought. If it’s not on TV, it doesn’t matter the start time (except for the “exclusivity” of the 2:30 slot, I guess).
But with it being November, a day game is probably the right call anyway. Should be pleasant.

I suspect the CBS contract prohibits us from streaming the game between 2:30 and 5:30, so the only available start times were 11:00 and 6:00. Since it's so late in the season and the Egg Bowl is the following Thursday, we rightly chose 11:00.
