First a little background. Most will notice only 1 previous post. But, I’ve earned a right to offer an opinion. I was in the stands in 1980 for 6-3 over the Bear. I witnessed the win over Auburn that sent us to #1. That’s only 2. I also witnessed the Maine disaster. I’ve seen a lot of bad (and some good too) since my first game in 69 when we beat Southern Miss behind Joe Reed.

As a younger man I lost a lot of sleep over games like today. This team was good enough to win today. They just didn’t! For SEVERAL reasons! Not just 1 play, there were several. A few years ago, it finally, it hit me...this is what being a State fan is. Win some, lose some. That simple.

So, here are the facts. If we catch a few breaks (or don’t have a few really dumb plays), we could be 4-0. BUT, if it goes the other direction, we could be 0-4. Now we ARE 2-2. I wish it was better. I think it should be better! The good news, I do see potential. Maybe things will turn good soon? It finally did in baseball! I witnessed with my own eyes a Natty by my Dogs! If it doesn’t happen for our football team this year...oh well, life has much more important things to worry about!!!

Go Dogs!

Matt Wyatt said it best. If you step back and look at the big picture, we have small issues to fix.

This actually reminds me A LOT of 2009, lost to a G5, rough loss to LSU at home where we goofed around. We kept losing and losing that year, and we were in a position to win. You could feel it was coming, but it just never happened......until that Egg Bowl, that many pundits thought we had no shot in, similar to this year. And obviously we were less spoiled back then.....8 years of futility will do that to you.
