i'm still working from home - have not been back to the office and becoming a Teams pro. the company was heading toward "normal" but is now reversing back to covid protocol. the kids are starting to school as "normal" but we're afraid they're going to kick us back to online school. btw - i have only had 2 haircuts since this started and canceled my shave club account.

2 day a week work from home is now permanent. Wednesday everybody is in the office. Vaccines are not mandatory but they are now doing goofy and insultingly small prize drawings to "encourage" you to get it.
Work from home means now you work a three day week. It's failing horribly. But upper management is never wrong so it will just grow more and more dysfunctional.

Been working from home since March of 2020 and no one is even talking about going back yet. I’ve been in the office once since then to pick up a new laptop.

Work at home every day and have been told it's permanent minus a day here and there for specific reasons. Haven't shaved my nuts a single time since this all started. Nor prior.
I've been known to have a drink or two during the workday now. Who doesn't sip whisky on the job? My dog and I have both gained about 10 LBs. I blame the vaccine and that extra 6 inches of pecker it caused. The dog, well, she lays around and does nothing like my wife.
Thinking about getting some exercise equipment, but since I don't have to wear clothes, what will I hang on it after a couple weeks?

We took about 5 weeks off way back last April but been at work every day otherwise. Walmart at least once a week.

Kids had options of remote or in school fall 2020 here. I am full time remote, my company is in St Pete and that’s my status regardless of COVID, and in no way could deal with a 4th grader while I was trying to work. What really pissed me off was I had severance from my old job from 03/20-06/20 and had planned on playing a lot of golf in between jobs but had to be a 3rd grade teacher for 3 months. My daughter is going to school next week and plans on wearing a mask, she actually likes it. I’m just worried that it’s imprinting her to be a germaphobe because I am not at all.
Damn... Where do you work that required vaccination before 99.99% of the country had access to one dose, much less 2. The Pfizer vaccine was granted emergency authorization on December 11th. Waiting 21 days for shot 2 would put you past the deadline. I think you may be off on your dates.
Having to go to an office every day would kill me at this point in my life. But most of my career had me in hospitals multiple times a week, so masks were part of it. That’s the strange part…after wearing a mask for 20 years for work…I loathe them now.
Working about half time in the office. Company is going permanent with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote but it isn’t quite implemented yet. Currently required to mask indoors in shared spaces regardless of vaccine status. I’m in CA though so masking may ever end…

Never stopped working in the office. I actually did more remote work during the February ice storm than I have in a year and a half of COVID. Our office is fairly small, only about 15 people, and it’s a big enough building where most everyone has their own private office. So at times we’ve just had mask mandates for common areas and if you are meeting with a client. That is the current policy for unvaccinated as of the beginning of August, but the vaccinated are not currently required to wear a mask. I would say about 80% of our office has the vaccine and isn’t having to mask up…. yet.
I travel for work. We were back seeing clients in May. Got word Monday we are back at home until at least September 14. It sucks! I cannot do as well in a remote environment as I can in person.

Working from home since March 2020. Recently I've gone into the office about 2-3 days a month. Our company was supposed to revise our "work from home as much as you want" policy this month, but I expect that to be delayed. I personally wouldn't mind coming in to the office a couple of days a week, but it's actually kind of lame without everyone there at the same time. We have a couple of team members with 1-2 hour commutes, and they're not coming back to the office at all unless required to do so.
Hybrid model was put in to effect start of July but last week they reversed although they said you can come in if you want but you got to wear a mask and be vaccinated or tested on regular basis. I'm still working a hybrid model a couple days at home and a couple of days in.

We're a small company so social distancing is easy, everyone just goes into their own office. I work part time only, usually all I have to do is come in, get my leads, and head out to meet customers. i carry mask because some of my customers require it. Everyone in this office has been vaccinated. Worried more about the grandbaby and her school more than I am about myself.
State employee here and never missed a day in the office because of Covid, we were deemed "essential". I could easily do my job from home but they won't even consider it and have said they "don't want to open that can of worms". The only people wearing a mask have been the few outsiders coming into our office, no employees have worn them although encouraged to. As far as I know nobody has had the Covid in the office yet and not many have taken the shot, or won't admit they did. I had the J&J in March
We've had a couple of people work partly or mostly from home, but for the most part we've been in the office all along. We have a lot of space for the number of employees and everyone is pretty much in their office by themselves most of the day anyway.
100% work at home when not traveling. For random things in office, mask required since March 2020. Required to get a vaccine for travel duties in January/February.

That lasted 2 weeks. Everyone is back to being allowed to work from home full time as of this week per our corporate's policies due to the rise in covid cases.
Our offices are still open for anyone that really wants to work from there. Facemasks are now required at all times in the office as of this week.
Our governor and state legislature passed some crazy *** laws earlier this year that affect schools and within all that was the declaration that masks cant be required in schools. So no mask policy to deal with in a few weeks once schools start back up, though some individual classrooms were absolutely peer pressuring kids into masking last spring so I assume that will be the case this fall too.
The largest school district in the state just agreed to buy some remote learning software for kids who need to/prefer to learn from home. I am pretty sure that will be a small % though. Kids will be back in classrooms regardless of transmission % in a few weeks.
All this **** is about what I would expect in life at this point- politics are used on both sides to get agendas set. And local control is ignored by both sides when its convenient for power and political gain.

Me too. I had planned to retire last summer and had notified my company. When COVID shut us down mid March last year for 5-6 weeks, I decided not to go back

Funny- my dad planned to retire last year and when he found out he could just work from home he decided to keep working since so much of what he disliked had been eliminated thru working at home.
Its interesting to see how the same incident can guide people into different results.

We got rid of masks in March. Maybe a dozen people still wear them, out of ~225. I'd guess most of us in the office area have had the vaccine. It's been highly encouraged but not "required" (anyone who has to travel was basically told to get it or you would eventually be forced to). We're free to travel, fly, have tradeshows planned, visit customers, have visitors in our plant, etc. We've been 100% back to normal since March / April. Got a handful of non-vaxxers out now with covid.
