Did I correctly hear Eduardo Perez say something like "this is probably MSU's biggest game of the season" around the 6th inning? It was said in the middle of a longer sentence but I couldn't believe the stupidity of it.

Also, if we objectively look at it, that game was over in the 5th if not before then and the announcers just quit talking about Vandy after that. It was free marketing for the university the rest of the way. We couldn't have scripted a better night!

I give him a pass on that. They were trying to fill air time and only one team was giving them anything to talk about. I honestly felt like they were pulling for us. Maybe I was just euphoric.

They were absolutely pulling for us. All three of them. They didn't come out and say we were the most elite program but pretty much said we are the best all around when you factor in tradition, facilities, on-field performance, etc...

They praised our handling of Bednar and either KP or Perez said something like "if you are a parent watching this, how are you not interested in your son playing there?"
