Which pitcher is most affected by short rest

The hard thrower or curve ball guy? The hard thrower probably doesn’t have the velo for as many innings and the curve baller doesn’t have the movement for as long.

I think Kumamoto is going to be pretty much 100%. 4 days rest is plenty.

I suppose that could factor, but 4 days ready is the MLB rotation. I doubt Lemonis is anticipating a tired Kumar on the mound.

Sure it is plenty if you are used to it. His arm is trained to pitch every 7 days

We will see, he just threw 111 pitches in his last outing. He has never pitched on 4 days rest before either.

Well, he came out against NC State in an elimination game after 6 with Vandy only up by 2. They will not hesitate to go to Maldonado or some of their other top bullpen guys in the late innings.

Rocker is a great big game pitcher. It’ll be tough, but his stuff has not been as electric as usual this CWS. Fastball is more like 92 now. Breaking ball is still very good but not quite the same bite as it did when we saw him in April.

He settled in against Arizona but not until after giving up some runs. NC State was kind of a Skelton crew, and he did well but gave up some good contact. That game could have gone very differently if the umps don’t blow a missed fair ball, which should have been a double. Plate discipline will be big for us tonight, along with us being able to spoil some good breaking balls in the zone.

This one will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and who can get the big hit.
