If we’re being honest, our pitching “staff” is Bednar and Sims plus a giant mixed bag of guys that you never have any idea what you’re going to get. All I can say is that it’s incredibly disappointing to have fought all the way to this point in the season, yet not have a soul to throw in the opening game of the championship that you even remotely trust

Pitching was supposed to be our strength this year. Yes we've struck out a lot of guys, but we managed guys' workloads well, so it has to be something else. This has been atrocious what's happened lately with all those you mentioned.

That I agree with. We could have hung with these guys tonight if we had more starting pitchers. We've played musical chairs there all season. I think we had a lot of hopes riding on Cerantola but he just could not do it. Lots of what ifs in that situation for sure.

While I don't understand Macleod's regression (injury, arm fatigue, psychological?) I don't believe it was due to poor coaching and development. Maybe my memory is lacking, but I don't ever remember bringing a strong 3 man starter rotation to Omaha. At this level, usually everybody gets hit.

I'm sure MacLeod was dealing in warm-ups. He seems to be fragile from a phycological stand-point.

Fristoe is a True Freshman that hit the wall. It happens.
Macleod was up and down all year. When on he was elitle, when off he was horrible. he has the stuff, just seems to get down on himself mentally.
Cerentola needs more Hours with coaches than college baseball allows. I would not be surprised to see him model Brandon Woodruff career and be a great pro.
Koesler graduated high school in 2014..... if he had big league talent, he would have been gone 4 years ago....

Now what about Bednar, Sims, Patrick, Stinnett, Cade Smith, Harding, Johnson, Brandon Smith, Simmons, and Hunt?

I'm sure Foxhall is out with Lemonis for getting run ruled in Birmingham.**** They are just playing out the string....
