Yep! You are correct. Lemonis was definitely coaching last night intent on playing another game against Texas tonight. Cant beat that coaching acumen.

It's as if many here didn't realize our entire strategy yesterday was to get Ty off the mound for Texas last night and try to win in 3 innings while saving our aces. We almost did.

I’ll give some benefit of the doubt to a couple who say things in the heat of the moment. Others just have a weird obsession with Sims. He can’t pitch literally every game. Having Bednar and Sims available today is a great spot to be in. Our pitchers just didn’t have it last night. Tonight let’s hope they do.

He’s gone to Sims every big moment all season, if he didn’t last night in the biggest of games it’s a pretty good clue that Lemonis knows something we don’t and knew Sims was on fumes. I think that’s why he had to go running down to the bullpen when he did, he was never expected to throw last night unless it was to attempt to slam the door in the 9th with a lead.

The reservation to put him in was because we never got the lead like you said. If Rowdy gets another run home then we put Sims in. I can’t imagine he could pitch 2 nights in a row right now. Much less pitch in a game that very likely could go into extras then come back the next game.

I think the rain had a lot to do with it. Sims comes in, gets hot, then has to sit for 2 hours? He was trying to get to the rain delay with a tie ball game. Missed it by one at bat.
