The Drover was great last night and it seemed like half of Starkville was in there. The waitress almost caused a riot when she said MSU wasn’t her favorite team in Omaha this year. It was a great time and Omaha has been an awesome trip.

We’ll try another spot today before we take on Virginia.

How would it be with kids? Looking for a decent steakhouse I can take kids (11 & 7) but nothing too formal. Tried Gorat's last night. I called just before 8pm and asked

- "how late are you open tonight?"
- "we're open till 10"
- "ok, great, we'll be there in a few minutes"

I show up 10 minutes later. "Sorry, you have to have a reservation"

Would have been nice if there was some way for them to tell me that before I drove over there.

You can do reservations, but we just walked in. We did have to wait an hour or so....

The steak was good! And like the OP said, last night looked like a sea of maroon!

Kids are fine there. I took my 5 year old. There was a table behind us with two smaller kids. They had no reservations available yesterday, but bar seating is available and walk ins are welcome.

The Drover had no more reservations left either but showed up at 6:30, put our name on the list... ate and was out of there by 9:00 PM
