I think it's just an overtightening of the sphincter when he gets two strikes. Just causes the remaining muscle mass to become completely immobilized. Coach Lemonis just needs to show him the cattle prod with two strikes; he won't have to use it but once.

Thats exactly why I never trash these guys batting. I use to go to the batting cage for fun but I never selected the top speed. No fun for me. I didn't stand a chance. 93 mph fast ball is hard to see

No, I would every problem in the world even seeing the thing before it hit the catcher's glove, and would have had the same problem just as bad more than 50 years ago when I was his age. But, I was never on any amount of scholarship to be out there doing what he's doing. And, the last time I checked, baseball is not a two-platoon sport. And the kid doesn't play errorless ball in the field either. I'll give you that he is a true freshman . . . .

So because he’s on a partial scholarship he owes it to you to be up to your standard? He’s on the field because he’s our best option. Plain and simple. It’s not his fault he’s our best option at short stop. He doesn’t owe you anything. If you have a problem with him being on the field your beef is with our coaches for fielding ONE player in OMAHA that isn’t good enough for you. And if you have a beef with a coach that will finish top-5 in Omaha for the 2nd time in two years: NOBODY CARES.

Lane Forsythe saved our *** this season. We had no option at shortstop other than him once Kamren James proved he was good for an error + per game there. His bat just isn’t ready for average SEC pitching, much less the guy Texas rolled out there throwing 97 with great command. But his defense is the reason we are 4 wins from a national championship and not sitting at home right now.

As much as you talk about "betas" and "effeminates" I am betting you are overcompensating for a low testosterone deficiency from birth that awarded you child bearing hips, a micropenis, and excess breast tissue.

Why anybody would choose to face a 93 mph fastball (machine or human pitched) is beyond me.

The other funny thing about whining about our 9-hole in a 2-1 win in Omaha pitched by future MLB pitchers on both sides: Just be glad you aren't a Texas fan. 6-9 they were 0 for 12 with 10 Ks.

I think back to engineering school when I am tempted to be negative about these guys. For me, every day of school was like drinking from a fire hose. I was just trying to tread water and survive. Forsythe feels that way about now. He could be working on his game in much less stressful summer ball right now, but he’s still plugging away against the best pitchers in the country on a big stage.

C'mon man, this is baseball 101. If you are going to give up offense for defense, it will always be at shortstop first. Bad defense there will lose you a lot of games. Catchers are the next position. If they can do both....great, but you need to have good defense first at those positions. That is the case from every level.....MLB down.

If your left fielder, right fielder and first baseman aren't hitting, then you have a problem. This guy is just a freshman.
