Before people start wrongly speculating like during the regional, here is the official way to determine who will be home team:

The highest-seeded teams advancing from super-regional tournaments shall be the home teams for the first-round contests. In the event of a match-up between equally seeded teams, a coin flip will determine the home team.

After the first round:
1. The team that has been the home team the fewer number of times will be the home team.
2. If the two teams are equal in above but differ in the number of times they were the visitor, the team that has been the visitor more times will be the home team.
3. If still equal...
a. If the teams have met previously in this CWS, the visitor in the previous game will be the home team.
b. The team that was visitor in its preceding game will be the home team, unless both teams were visitors.
c. Coin flip.

So its a coin flip bc we were both 1s? I would think TX is higher but they must be talking about regional seed. Otherwise two teams couldnt have the same seed unless that contemplates two teams outside the top 16

Yes, they are talking about regional seed. But there is a distinction between #1 seeds, as the committee seeds them 1-16. So Texas is home because they were #2 while we were #7.

This year, there happens to be no coin flip matchups in the first round. If two regional #2 seeds were to meet in the first round, they would flip a coin in that case to determine home team.

So for the first two games we know we will play.

- Visitor against Texas
- if we play Tennessee on Tuesday we will be the home team
- if we play Virginia on Tuesday they will coin flip for home/away
