The schedule is a bit longer for the bracket play (day of rest between games) but then the championship follows soon after (Monday following Saturday bracket championship). What is the best way to play that pitching wise?

Hope for best case scenario and get 3 straight wins Sun, Tues and Thurs while the bracket beats themselves up and doesn't force a Saturday game, then throw normal weekend rotation in championship.

Our schedule is Sunday-Tuesday-Friday if we start 2-0. We would only play on Thursday if we start 1-1.
Bednar for game 2 as it will be either an elimination game or it puts you in drivers seat in winners bracket.
It is a 6 PM night game, essentially just like out SEC Fridays. MacLeod in Game 1. If we do have to play a day game on Tuesday, that fits Bednar’s regular season starts but if we are in the winners bracket Tuesday, he will be fine with a 6 or 7 PM start. If you win both, you can play the Bull Pen Game on Thursday, or actually come back with MacLeod for 4-5 innings, making him available for one of the championship series starts. Bednar would then essentially be game 1 starter in championship series, flipping their rolls from opening weekend.

HardingTuesday, MacLeod for a few middle innings if needed or

As usual, I’d go matchup specific between Bednar / Macleod for Games 1 and 2. Since we don’t know the Game 2 opponent, pick the guy who gives us the best shot to beat Texas. The only caveat to that is if both UVA and Tennessee have similar lineups that we could take advantage of with one particular pitcher, then you have to take that into account.
Overall it’s the same discussion that we had heading into Samford. Bednar and Mac have both been inconsistent as hell on a game to game and even inning to inning basis. Neither is worth prioritizing as a “try to pitch him in the championship series” scenario. So, just play the matchups.

I think you dance with the one what brung you. Pitch MacLeod against Texas (he already beat them once), Bednar against (likely) Tennessee, and then Harding in game 3. Stay in the winner's bracket, and everybody should be ready for the same rotation for the championship series.

That's exactly what Cohen was going for in 2013, and this board ripped him to shreds for not managing the pitching staff correctly (and those people were idiots). So yeah, I agree with you. Graveman Saturday, Fitts/Pen Monday, Graveman again on Friday, Fitts/Pen Monday, Pollo/Pen Tuesday (knowing that you'd have to at least win 1 of those to have a chance, then Graveman would have gone on Wednesday had we gotten there. Got swept, so it didn't matter that we didn't use Graveman.
South Carolina in 2011 went Roth, 2nd guy, Roth again Friday, 2nd guy, then Roth again on Tuesday. That's OK, because they won Game 1 of the Finals, unlike us.
This is what I'd do. I don't understand pitching the same guy Sunday and Friday. Harding is our hottest pitcher not named Sims. You don't keep him on the bench until the championship series. This is, of course, assuming we don't have to use him in the first two games. But if we're 2-0 and he's fresh when Friday comes around - I say he starts.
If we have to come through the losers bracket, lord help us. Harding game 3, Sunday starter for game 4, all hands on deck for game 5. Then you pray for rain so we don't limp into the championship series with everyone pitching on short rest.

Game 1 is first, so let's mostly focus on determining whom we pitch to give us the best chance of winning that game.
Based upon the relevant stats, determine which starting pitcher (MacLeod or Bednar) gives us the best matchups for Game 1 and go with him.
In Game 2, we go with the other guy.
After Game 2, we reassess everything based upon what happened in Games 1 and 2, determine what our best available pitching options are, determine how those options matchup against the opponent and make the decision.
One game at a time until we win our bracket.
