We are expecting again. If it's a boy, we'll go with Isaiah. Any good middle names?

Samuel. New two Amish brothers. Isaiah and Samuel. Peter (their father and boss) would always call Isaiah and Samuel by name together to ask their opinion.. "Isaiah, Samuel... What do you think?"

Sounds great together to me. Plus as someone who made the decision to go by the abbreviated version of their middle name as an adult, Sam is a good out for someone that doesn't want to be Isaiah for some reason.

Whatever you choose, make it something you won’t be tempted to call him by. For some reason my parents decided to call me by my middle name - that becomes a headache your whole life. Correcting teachers in school, then official documents or financial paperwork when you get older.

Googling… One of their kids’ names is Isaac… so go full-tilt into alliteration?

Isaiah Isaac?

But then he’d probably get the nickname Izzy or decide to use the Roman Number for Two when writing his name….

Take Charles for instance. If your last name is Ellis his initials are ICE. Cool initials no pun intended

But if your last name is Kent his initials are ICK. Not good.

Seven. No, wait - Fifteen. You can secretly name him after Dak (or Jake, if you prefer) but when you say his full name, "Isaiah Fifteen" it will sound like a Bible verse for your wife and preacher friends. Boom.
