I could see them going to him out of the pen in a tight spot. The big question would be how effective he would be. Southern has some hitters.

I was really surprised they threw Myers in relief tonight. He was outstanding as a starter against Vandy last week, assumed he would be their game four starter. But nope, they threw him a ton of pitches tonight.

I’m sure they will lean heavily on Broadway. The Dougherty kid should be fresh too. If they can’t make it work with those two then they are in a world of trouble.

I was surprised by that, too. But, in fairness to Bianco, Myers did a good enough job for us to win. Came in and gave us 5+ innings, only 2 runs because of the wind blowing out hard to left. We just couldn’t get our bats going. It looked like about every other do or die postseason game we’ve played under Bianco.

Does Ole Miss lose a home regional/super regional for the 7th time in 17 years? Losing 6 at home in 16 years is remarkable. I'm curious what other programs have lost that many in that short of a time span.

2004: 0-2 losing to Western Kentucky and Washington, paired with Arizona State, who also lost.
2005: lost to Texas in super after winning game 1, #5 national seed
2006: lost to Miami in super after winning game 1
2009: lost to Virginia in super after winning game 1
2016: 0-2 losing to Utah and Tulane
2018: lost 2 games to Tennessee Tech after starting 2-0, #4 national seed
