Ugh. Eli Gold. Tough to listen to. Between that and the brick wall backstop, it's not a pleasant broadcast. Hopefully our play doesn't add to the unpleasantness.

We have THAT kind of ump behind the plate. That strike out was over the batter box chalk, not the plate. He gave a high strike to the previous batter so the Bammer pitcher just needs to throw it somewhere around the plate.
He has a big zone but he's consistent and that's all you can ask for. Mac is benefiting from it too.
Why? You've either been vaccinated, in which case the CDC has clearly said there's no need to wear a mask except in certain very limited situations. Or you haven't been vaccinated, in which case why do you care enough to wear a mask when you don't care enough to get a lot more protection from the vaccine. And yet, we still have plenty of people wearing masks. It's a form of mental illness.

College baseball is better with a generous zone, IMO. These guys aren’t pros, they need the corners.

Did Debrule’s chopper not hit the catcher before it crossed back into fair territory? Don’t see a ball ponded into the dirt just stick like that.
I think it was more of a bunt for hit than a sacrifice. Their 3B made a very good play.

If he wants to wear a mask it certainly isn't hurting you. Why do you even care since you think it's useless? Yet he is mentally ill? For the record I'm fully vaxxed and have abandoned the mask in most situations. Do I care if people still wear them? Why should I? It makes no sense at all. I still wear it at times. I'm required to at work, no change over the last 30 years there.

Piss poor. 3 fly balls after starting the inning with two base hits. Couldn’t even advance the runners.
I would normally give you that, but I don't see much slugging going on after Jordan and Allen. If we would have bunted there, Hancock's liner to center may have scored Jordan.

Either way, you have the runner in scoring position with one out, you have two chances to drive him home with something to the outfield, and you voluntarily give one of those chances up for the minimal gain of getting the runner to 3rd. And you set them up to get out of the inning with a DP ball even if it works out. Just not a good situational play there.
Not with your best HR hitter and one of your hotter hitters. Never under any circumstance that will happen in that scenario.
It should in the 6t inning when you haven’t sniffed at scoring through 5 innings. I don’t care if it is Mark McGuire at the plate.
Sure, if you're rooting for Alabama. Maybe you haven't been watching games but LT has been one of our best in conference hitters.
