Vandy has lost 3 straight after dropping a midweek game to Louisville.

They have Alabama at home this weekend. So, I’m sure they’ll get back on track. It’ll be interesting to see how Rocker and Leiter hold up though.

No earthly idea what to make of Florida. One weekend they look like a national title contender and the next they look like they might not even host. Would be a massive series win for Mingione if he can take one more, UK is extremely bubbly and need this badly.

This series is pretty inconsequential to us, but we will probably need Florida’s help when they go to Fayetteville in two weeks.

Vandy relying on Rocker and Leiter too much too soon. The one thing that Lemonis has done that is going to help us in the postseason is that we have a whole bunch of pitchers that have been used but none too much.

I'll have to check but I think only Bednar has thrown over 100 pitches and gone 7 innings. No one has gone 8 unless I'm forgetting a game.

This is the time of year when you see the trajectory of many teams change. Some teams heat up going into post season and some start to fade. Mississippi State has a history of heating up in the back end of the season and it appears that this year might not be an exception. Vandy could be fading. We will see.

I know that's a trendy talking point on Vandy, but Leiter's fastball last week was in the mid 90's. His stuff looked fine. I think teams are probably scouting him better as his tape has grown. Honestly, I expect them to dominate Bama this weekend. If they get knocked around a little bit, maybe you're right.

No complete game this year. We've only had a guy go 7 innings a few times.

Did Vandy really peak or are they just not as good as we thought? A lot of those dominant performances you saw from Leiter were against some of the worst hitting teams in the league. And their offense has come back down to earth since playing tougher competition.

Tough to say Arkansas has already peaked until they actually lose a series, which they haven’t all year. I doubt they see anyone that can beat them before Omaha, but don’t know that they are built to win it all in that ballpark.
